I have a comment on poor gas mileage. I have had my '06 TL since December 26th and I have tested the gas mileage of this car. What I found is this.
City Driving
a) If you drive the car like an 85 year old woman you can get about 23-24MPG in the city. Now I'm talking about driving the car like a real fucking pussy.
b) If you drive the car like you stole it you will get about 17MPG.
Interstate Driving
a) Gas mileage on the highway is accurate. I have also noticed, depending on your speed you can actually get slightly over the 29MPG the car claims to have on the highway.
Brand of Gas
a) I know there are people that will probably disagree with me but I have also tested brand of gas. I have found that different brands will result in different gas mileage.
b) Chevron, Shell and Conoco seem to give me slightly better gas mileage that Mobil, Diamond Shamrock, ETC.
c) Is this a coincidence that Chevron, Shell and Conoco are all listed as recommended gas on www.toptiergas.com?

One on the right for me
I've had to make sure my passengers werent going to hit the curb when they opened their doors. If the road isnt flat and meets the curb at an angle its more likely to happen.

I get about 22 around town.. not too much bumper to bumper traffic here. 30 to 34 on the highway.
A pretty fair review overall.

Add me to the Alba > Jolie list (as if my wife would let me choose...).
Door scrapes-
Here in Los Angeles County, there are certain areas where the curbs are extremely high due to design (Pasadena, for example) or where street seems to have dropped in comparison to sidewalk curbs, possibly due to repaving or erosion (parts of West Los Angeles and Santa Monica). In these areas, the front passenger door can either hit the curb or the leading edge of the door may scrape the curb upon opening if you're not careful. The reviewer was probably scraping the air deflector rather the the front of the car, as my TL will scrape its deflector on various minor driveway inclines.
Mileage-
18-19 city, high 20's on freeway so far, mostly on short commute of 3 miles or less on cheap gas from Costco. I may experiment with Chevron to see if mileage improves.

I want to have a threesome with Jessica Alba and my girlfriend. Heck my gf doesn't even need to be there...
She's on the list of people we can screw, no questions asked, without the other getting mad. Her list is lame, she wants to bang all old dudes and a gay guy, so I'm not worried about it...not that I'd ever have a chance with anyone on mine either, but it is always nice to imagine.
