Question Initially starting the 04TL

I dont know if this is just me or the car has a Problem,But
when i start the car,i can feel a slight vibration on my seat.
Is that the engine? trann?

While the car is idleing,i open the driver door and step outside
the vehicle,i put my hand on the top part of the door and i feel
the vobration on the door.

Should i bring the car to the dealership and have them check
this out?

Thanks for any info provided.

vibration at idle on cold weather start

is normal on many cars, If after car reaches operating temp, there is vibration get it checked. I would not wait for 1000 miles, i'ts not a break in issue

I have 204 miles on the car.
As the car gets warmer, the vibrating sensation lessens.

Lets say for example you are at a red light, your foots on the
break, should the car be totally still and quiet? i would think so.
i feel a very minimal vibration at that point.

"Might be a misfireing cylinder, does it feel intermittant?"

Yes it does,sometimes i dont feel it,sometimes i do.
I think it could also be 1 of the cylinders, but is that possible
at this stage of the cars life? 200 miles..

Its unfortunate that we pay so much money for these cars, and
to even have to talk about problems this early is just not right.

If a cylinder were misfiring, the "check engine" light would come on immediately.

It is just a new car, new engine, that is still breaking in (another reason to take it easy for 1000 miles). As previously said, don't worry about it until you have 1000 or more miles on it. If you are really concerned, take it to the dealer and ask them about it.

Have any of you experienced hesitant starts? It has happened to me on 3 or 4 occassions where the engine seems to have trouble starting. I hold the ignition for a couple of seconds longer than usual before it started. Seems like it's out of gas, but I'm not running on empty yet. One time I noticed that I was parked up on an incline. Any relation?

On the hesitant start.

As a matter of fact, last night i had this problem,i dont know if it
was due to the cold weather but at first try,it wouldnt start after a few seconds of holding the key trying to start it. Turned the key
off and tried it again in a minute and it started much quicker.

In Manual , it tells about rough starting. It is something to do with the computer and its checking process of all systems.

Not sure if this is true, but I remember someone else on this forum said that hesitant starts can occur because this is a ultra low polluting car. I guess it does not put as much gas through like other cars.

Do you notice if the car has a high idle when cold that is reduced when it gets warm?
