Im waiting for a killer lease deal

Why aren't there any amazing lease deals going on. I'm patiently waiting to lease a nice 05 TL. I though that there would be a great lease incentive now that they have been out a little while and the holidays are here and all. Every other car has a commercial like "December To Remember", or the "Winter Sales Event!"

Come on Acura, throw me a bone. All I want is navi, 12k a year, 2k down, and 375 a month. Will I be waiting forever?? If this cant be done I will purchase or lease a new 05 Legacy with 250 horse, AWD, 0-60 in 5.5 seconds, and good looks all around! These can be had for $26,500 near me, or leased for 285 a month with 999 down.

My heart really wants the Acura, but I must have the money aspect feel right.

Think you better enjoy your 05 Legacy for a few years. Business is real good in Acura TL Land these days. Why offer a killer lease when they struggle to meet demand for sales near MSRP?

Unless something really terrible happens, I don't think Honda/Acura offers great leases until near the end of a body style or if supply starts to exceed demand.

Legacy has good looks all around? I'd say its about average in the front and sides, and an absolute atrocity from the rear. I loved how it drove tho. Looks are the only thing that prevented me from getting one.

you will never find that kind of numbers. I sold a TL with Navi with 15000 miles on a 36 month lease for 479 and that was almost impossible. even without a navi, under 400 is going to be impossible, unless you put down like 5000. As for deals at the end of the year, those are always for 04's NOT 05's. We've been sold out of every 04 for about a month now.

I would agree with goldendragon that you will not get a TL for the numbers you want. In my estimation, the best you could possibly do for Navi, 12k miles, 2k down with a beacon score of 720 or greater would be between $475 and $500. I got mine in March without the navi but with the other numbers the same for $440 and you can figure about $40 more per month for the Navi. FWIW.

Now a question arises. If the lease fee is a function of selling price - depreciation = residual and TL has a better resale value - why the big difference in payments? Do most other manufacturers subsidize leases to keep production going? I know that some do use a false residuial to minimize the payment (Chrysler) but not sure about others, just curious.

If you've been reading, the TL is Acura's top selling vehicle and is breaking records every month. To find a good lease deal is next to impossible, because this car is such a mover.

Might want to re-read the thread. I posted the first response. The question is of a different nature than your answer but thanks.

I remember reading on here several times about people who leased at 385 a month without putting a fortune down.

If there is anyone out there currently leasing a TL/navi for 400 a month or less? If so, please tell me the details. I'd be willing to put $2,500 down, but I must be at 400 or less a month. I need help in getting this done. I'll better equipped if I know some details from other people. Thanks.

Well, if you are willing to put $2500 down and pay $400 a month, then there is no reason why you wouldn't put $0 down and pay $470/month. They are the same thing (+ or - a few dollars). If you walk into a dealer and tell him you want to put $0 down and you work out a lease figure of $470, he'll take $400/month with $2500 down in a heartbeat. Simple math.

Hey I got a dealer down to 475 a month tax included. At the door you pay 475 first month and 220 for dmv fees that. With the 1900 more that youre willing to spend and considering the time value of money I could see you get the 400 but for sure be at 415. Wheels to Lease in brooklyn is the place try them I still got three weeks till graduation so Iam holding either till 450 and 600 out the door or just take the 475 if they dont come down on price (but they dont know that.) That deal is for a 6speed 05 with Navi

I suppose your right. I guess its just a mental thing about the lower monthly payment. In the end its all the same, grab your ankles.
