It must cost a fortune, haven't seen anyone on here mention it before? Do the shocks etc. make a huge noticeable difference? I'd say you'll only get your money's worth if you did it when the car is new or less than 20k miles.

I'm assuming OP is talking about the lip kit, not suspension, but I still have no idea what the second post means.

And OP, good luck. For ASM, I believe both base and type s front lips are discontinued, as well as the type s rear. OEMAcuraPartsTim would be another good vendor worth contacting tho. I got my kit thru him.

This is correct-there are no Aspec Lip Kits left in Silver. You'd be better to look on EBAY.

Yep, ASM front lip is discontinued, and the rear as well. I had to get the front lip in a different color and had it repainted. I was lucky enough to get the rear in ASM from Tim.

 

How do you guys know if the aspec kits are sold out? If you know off the top of your head is the 05 AM aspec kit still selling?

 

Only know because it was the color I was looking at. The type s sold out, ABC I decided I better not wait anymore. Less than two months later I think it was, the base lip was sold out as well, along with the type s rear.

 

ive been looking for silver type-s aspec kit as well, Bruce (AckTL05) said front and rear is discontinued in silver. im patientally watcing the black marke. Dont make me come fight you for the first one though

for some of the latest on what has been discontinued search out the group buy thread for the aspec lip kits.

many of the colors are still available. some that are not RRP, MRP, ASM, DGP...i believe...obviously check the thread. there are some colors that only have partial pieces of the kit available (front, rear, or sides).

as the 3G TL continues to age the availability of these kits will be dwindling.

 

Guys, an option here is to buy a different color Aspec Kit and have it painted silver.

A-spec in some color is no longer available for dealer to order but they are scatter bit and piece all over the US, you literally have to call almost every dealer and make sure that they have one or two pieces left in stock. I am looking for MRP which some piece already discontinued but my local Acura can get me all four side for $960.

 

^^^ When I bought my kit, Tim looked all over the country and found the front lip at a dealer in Baltimore and the rear lip in Mississippi. He had the side skirts.

I really don't think a dealership has parts anymore....

 

bear in mind also that not all dealers carry these items in their regular inventory of parts. many dealers will order only when someone wants a certain part. the scarcity of parts just means they are no longer being made.

^^^ Consider that a full kit can cost anywhere from $650 to $800. Then the paint-it might not be a bad price.

 

Andy only has 04-06 kit where some of use needed Type S and 07-08 kit.

 

$1,200? Man, they are making a killing if everyone is buying it from there.

I bought the kit for $700ish from Tim, had the lip painted for $50 at my local shop. Now I know getting it painted varies from state to state but really is not huge effort to sand down and repaint. Even if say for example max $100 per part (front and rear) that is still under $1000. I would def check your local body shop for a quote before doing this. my
