im lost.
why when some one crashes there car or gets hit and they dont have a aspec kit everyone says time to get a aspec kit? or if some one hits them from behind and brakes the lights they say get the type s light? who pays for this?
I assume that they believe that since your car is going to be apart, you might as well have them put on. The costs for the extras are surely your own! Kill 2 birds with one stone. I for example ordered the Aspec kit from the group buy. I am thinking about the TL-S tails too since my bumper will have to be removed anyway.

oh wow.. I don't even know how to react to this....
Ok...you've been in an accident... you will be replacing a certain part as it is cracked and cannot be repaired...so instead of getting your original part, you can purchase a Type-S part, and install it.
Who pays for it? You do! Or/And Insurance does....but this is not done in the open, as the insurance adjuster will only compensate for the oem stock part, this is where a friendly body shop owner comes in... I can't disclose further details...but I hope you understood.

(who ever is from 2G will understand the Lexus GS reference, lol)
um...i guess you could say it's more or less of an opportunity. you get hit from behind, and you mess up your tail lights, you're going to have to replace them. Thus, why replace them with the stock lights when you can get the type s tails to replace them instead? get my drift? or...were you being sarcastic?
Since a lot of you probably won't have a clue to why I'm mentioning Lexus GS and a TL, here some pics, courtesy of njzprettyboy.

semi correct...
here is a brakedown
if an 04-06 gets tapped in the rear either bellow the aspec rear lip line or simply damages the bumper beyond repair... if that person decides to cover the dent/crack they upgrade to the type s parts... similarly with the entire bumper, unpainted bumpers at the dealer are the same price
similarly with taillights they retail for the same price at the dealer... bodyshops in the bx get there parts from curry acura... so everything will be oem...

I don't really have anything constructive to add to this thread, I just always wanted to participate in the Special Olympics on some level, and this is the next best thing.
