I'm confused. TL-S Aspec front Kit

I just got my aspec kit and it's still in the box. I'm confused how the front end on the kit. Both these cars are type S but which one is it?

I like the WDP's front more. So what kit do i have? i don't wanna open it yet.

You have the one on the bottom.

The WDP has the base TL A-Spec kit custom molded to it.

:sigh: i might have to black market the front and maybe try a custom base TL aspec kit like JPTL04

Thanks for the clarification. dammit. I should have researched more..

Tony, you might consider giving it a try. Almost everyone seem to like the Aspec kit for the Type S.

"use the force Luke" just go with the Darth Vadar mask type-s spoiler you got.

there's been a few failed attempts at recreating the custom one I've got, it gets expensive when going custom. plus i wanna be the only type-s with a custom front spoiler

Well pretty much all you have to do is make a cut for the fog light area which isn't that hard and then paint that small area where the cut is so it doesn't show. Other than that, I don't see anything else different. Here is my WDP TL with A-Spec.

why not just use the one off the TL Base 07-08, and just make the small adjustments with a dremel.

jptl's + 1 for creativity, although not much difference in the stock bottom- have to look hard to notice there is even a kit on it imho- OP, the A-SPEC is meant to set the car apart and jptls work just blends in with base TL's , and the "Darth Vader" mask, well it def sets the car apart, and its mad aggressive.

the Vader mask is cool, its just too much for me.

i would love to make a poll for all type-s owners to see which of the two lip spoilers they would choose if one like mine was available for sale straight from the dealer.

Hmmm..................

Here's a Type S owner's opinion.....I would take a lip kit like Jaime's (jptl04) any day. I definitely do NOT like the Aspec Type S nose kit. I think it makes it look like a bubble eye fish (around the foglights). The Aspec kit is way too bulky for me.

yeah. you got the best looking WDP out there. The most unique one out there. Did you use the base aspec kit or cut the type S aspec kit?

Was it tough to do and which body shop did you go to? I doubt i'll copy you since i'm limited on funds. I'm just iffy on the type s aspec front until I see it in person. I just feel like it's not "smooth" with the lines since I like the more subtle look.

Either way, mad props for you for doing that. looks hot!

i really like the type-s kit. to me, it also depends on the color. i have KBP which is more of an agressive color so i think the type-s lip fits it well. i dont think the 04-06 lip looks good on all colors; it looks very clean on white though. it's also really hard to notice it like someone else said, but that is an advantage to the people who want it.

Only thing different are the grill areas. The main grill is bigger, the smaller ones with the fogs are redesigned a little. The bumper itself hasn't changed except around the big grill.

I had liked the Type-S Aspec kit till I showed it to my wife on a Type-S we saw in a parking lot and her exact comment was "Ew no, your car looks much smoother, I like the sleek look." Yeah sometimes a women's opinion on cars has to be taken with a grain of salt but I'm gonna stick with OEM for now & maybe have my cousins shop do something custom later.

haha. that's what my gf said also. She was like. that kit makes your car look like a rice rocket.

i might just keep the rear and sides and sell the front and leave it like that for a while until I find a new lip.

You gotta listen to them...sometimes. They're the ones riding in the car the most & they know what a female likes.

now I know the difference. The fog lights area is shaped differently.

07-08 Base

Type S 07-08

I didn't noticed that part. It curves towards the back of the car on the Type-S next to the light and the TL it goes towards the front.
