Front Window Safety Feature

Hello, I was in my friend's Mercedes GLK the other day and he showed me a really neat feature that I never knew existed. There's this feature where if you are rolling your window up using the one touch button. If your hand or anything happens to be in it's path of rolling up then it'll automatically go back down thus not injuring anyone or damaging anything.

Do our TL's have that feature? I am kind of hesitant to test it out for obvious reasons.

Whoa, I never knew that.
I guess I will try it tomorrow.
Of course... not using my hands... probably some kind of object, a water bottle.

Mine works. I first tested it by jamming my friends hand in the window without knowing lol. It worked just fine.

It's not about putting pressure on the window lol it's if you block the path of the window in it's track, it will stop, and go down a few inches, instead of closing on the object that is in its path.

A rolled-up newspaper would be better than testing with any body part.

Although when I was buying my TL the salesman used his hand. Apparently he freaked out when the window started to get close b/c he did wait for the thing to engage. Kind of funny. Maybe.
