Question I'm buying a 04 TL w navi- fully loaded is this too much

I'm getting ready to purchase a 04 TL with Navi here in the los angeles area. Now I know that these vehicles are going for sticker price and not too many discounts are given except maybe $500 off MSRP or maybe 1000 with some excellent negotating skills. The question that I pose is that, One of the dealers that I will leave nameless is offering me the vehicle fully loaded with the A- Spec package. (I could be mis pronouncing this). It entails 18 inch wheels, High Performance tires, a different steering wheel, h/p brake pads, a different suspension system, the vehicle lowered by 1 inch, plus the Aerodynamic kit (front, side, rear and wing spoiler) all for the lovely price of an additional $6,500. Now this seems too much especially since all I really want is the spoiler kit which I know is about an additional 2,000. I'm curious what folks thoughts are regarding this and if anyone has this package and if this is the going rate and if it really adds much to the car. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

We are here to help each other, but this is a subjective question. Do you REALLY want the A-Spec, or are you just considering it?

For me, it is too much money for what you get, but for others, it is well worth it.

as reported by acura news release the a-spec pkg is 5200 + dealer install... and most agree that dealer install is about 700 bucks... try not to work off msrp use dealer invoice and go from there... contrary to the belief that 1000 off msrp is the best they can do.

tell em other dealer quoted something like
33500 +A-spec 5700=39200 + Acura Pen
see if they can beat it

Also, considering that the A-Spec is a higher profit margin item, you really should get a heavy discount on the car itself and then work on the A-Spec package pricing.

I bet they'll be willing to work on shaving off their profit on the A-spec especially since the car's already there and they're trying to get rid of it.

Talking Awesome Deal!!!

Hey,

I am going to pick mine on saturday, Balck/Black interior, 5 speed Auto w/ Navi and the A-spec Kit all for the wonderful price of $40,603.28(out the door). I was lucky to take shot in the dark by going to my dealer and saying, I have another dealer offering me this price will you match it. The guy is like "do you have anything in writing?", and i was like "no I do not have anything in writing, but I would rather buy from you since you are closer to me". To my surprise the guy is like lets get your loan approved and we will order the car for you at that price. So, never hurts to ask if someone can match price and you never know what they will say.
