Congrats man! Soon after I bought my TL, I was considering getting a 350Z, but I was worried I would get sick of the sports car roughness as a DD. Sounds like you did the right thing!
Oh and I love KBP

Very nice! This is my next car, though I can't decide what color. I like the Kinetic Blue though, congratulations. I see mostly black TL-S's around here, which I like but black is so hard to keep clean. Man I can't wait to feel the excitement that you are feeling right now lol. Congrats again!

I just saw one on 410 today near Broadway. LOL! I was on the access road when he went by me. I was like, well I haven't seen any, now I own one, I saw one. LOL!
Nice. Here is my old site I got back up, it just needs to be updated. www.acuraclubsa.com
We use to have a club here in SA, that died out. Maybe we can get it going again.

your new car looks great. I had a 2003 CL Type S for 6 years and sold it. Miss all those great Acura features and the power that goes with the Type S. Am now looking at 2008 and 2007 TL Type S and there are some good deals out there, low miles and certified. Congratulations

Tl-s
I have an 06 TL like you had and had a fleeting thought of upgrading to a TL-S. My local Acura dealer has (2). Both are on EBAY

Is there really that much a performance difference between your 06 TL and the new TL-S? Please give let me know where you see the performance changes if any. I know that I can throw some performance mods on mine, but I wouldn't mind getting a 2 year newer car with low mileage and certified. The difference may not even be recognizable as compared to a TL and a CTS-V Cadillac. Thanks

I've driven an 04 all the way up to the 08TLS i have now in auto and manual. There is a big difference between the 04 base auto and the 08 auto TLS but when comparing the 06 manual to the TLS, there wasn't much of a difference (a car length at best from a stand still to 60mph). The biggest thing I noticed was the highway pull on 3rd gear on the TLS because it only has 5 speed. 3rd gear seemed like it kept pulling from 110 to 160kph. The cornering is also better because of the thicker sway bars and better suspension. Besides performance factors, interior looked much nicer and was much quieter but that was probably due to a newer car. I don't know if Acura actually fixed a lot of the rattles in the 07/08's but so far I haven't had any to report even though I've ripped my interior apart a couple of times already.

In the handling department the TL-S has an edge but a-spec suspension will take care of that.
If both were still being sold and I was buying new I would get the TL-S without a doubt. "Upgrading" to a TL-S from a base is not worth it IMO.
If as you say you just want a 2 year newer used car the TL-S would be a good choice.
