Ignitor and ballast question

how can i check if either are working. if i plug them with working one will it burn out the good one plus the bulb? or is there another way to check? thanks

Basically you have to switch the working side with the burnt out side. Switching piece by piece. First switch the igniters, if that's a no go swap ballasts.
