Unhappy Ignition problem???

Hello everybody,
I got a Black TL, Auto with NAV and 18" Acura rims. It is a fantastic car. I have one question which may be a real problem or not. The car is at 220 miles. and since the day I got it it takes 1 - 1,5 maybe 2 seconds to start when I turn the key. I had a Honda that had 130K miles. It used to start faster. It has premium Mobile gas in it. I may be off on the timing that I wrote but it is very noticible.. Veterans... Any comments?
Thanks

A lot of us have experienced delayed cranking every ONCE IN A WHILE. This is reportedly normal and related to ULED. But you shouldn't be having trouble cranking every single time, so there may be something wrong. You should take that new puppy right back to the dealer for servicing. And if they claim it's normal, ask to test drive a different TL for comparison.

Try to stay at Ignition II for 3 seconds, then start your engine... see if this could help.

Make sure your AC is off as well. Mine cranks ok, but noticed today forgot to turn air off and seemed to take a tad longer. Also in my Accord I notice when gas is getting low it will take a little longer. My old '90 Integra was quickest car to crank... Think the manual does say due to emissions car may sometimes take longer or may not crank on first try.

it must be the 18" rims, i have 17's and it starts fine every time. seriously tho this might happen from time to time. its just the ULEV2 trying to make the startup clean. leave it it position 2 for a couple of seconds and it should fire right up.

fantastic... Thanks for the quick replies.... By the way I have to tell you that this car really impressed me... I was thinking about getting M3. But after seeing this car I came to a conclusion that M3 doesn't worth 60K. In the meantime where can I change the light bulbs so it will have a smilar look of Xenons?

Thanks

Unclear what is happening. Is the engine slow to start after the engine starts turning or is the engine slow to start turning after turning the switch to the strart position??????

the starter is turning the flywheel or whatever it is attached to. But when the engine start it picks up rpm gradualy. It's just doens't feel right. It is hard to explain. The ac was on. I am going to try turning off ac and starting like that. By the way another thing is outside temp gauge is way off.. It was showing 97F in Dallas today. That was way off.. I am hoping that dealer can fix it...

What did this mean? We have Xeron already, did you mean the "fog light"? http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64155 If so, "fog light" is much easier to remove than "headlight".

Please follow those instruction above, and see if it's firing better.
