If you did trade-in ...

Nice choice with the 2012 TL Tech Pack w/SH-AWD. Way better decision.
But if you just can't wait then get what ever it is u def want because you only live once.

I would tell you if you can wait just wait it out to see what line up of cars will be coming out between 2012 -2014 then if there's nothing newer you are interested in look on the bright side anything you a currently interested in now will cost less and still be a upgrade.

I still really like the E46 M3. They still go for $18-23k.
I mean, Look at it !!

i have no issue with that car that's a hot car . I just commented on Mr_raja's post talking about going from a TL to a 528. I myself would never do that. If i am going to BMW from a TL i can't do anything less than a 335/535.But now that car

I honestly don't think i would pay BMW what they want for their cars before looking at other companies. I say "don't think" because i can't say what i would do if i had the money to do it but i would def do some comparing first.

If i had to trade-in today, i would pick up brand new accord coupe v6 in white with navi, 6 speed manual. We no longer need 2 4 door cars and sadly Acura has nothing that is even remotely appealing and interesting anymore.

Haha... Yeah bud, I was looking at a 2009 CPO 528xi with Premium and Sports Package, new was out of the question, didnt, and still dont, have 60k on me. The 2009 was costing me about 36k OTD, with 32k miles. Went to an Acura dealer in VA, talked to the guy, ended up paying 40k OTD for my TL, with only 21 miles on it.
Besides, with all honesty, I did not like the interior of BMW. It was way to dated and odd. Truly its a driver's car, not a passenger's car. But I think my TL isnt too far off from the 528xi either.... I am glad I went that way.

Nothing out there at present that appeals to me within my budget. Will hold on to the TL-S for now, and agree with TRIUMPHT on the future line-up of cars in the upcoming years. Will wait until then.

When I looked at my 3G TL I considered the following cars. E90 328xi, G37 sedan and Lexus IS250. I actually almost bought the 328xi but it was sold while we we were negotiating so I ended up getting my TL from the same bmw dealer.
I regret not waiting. If I had known the TL gets me 18 MPG I would have gone for the G37 sedan right away. If I were to trade the Tl in today I would only trade it for 3 cars. E90 335i, Audi A4 B8 or a G37 Sedan. Nothing else interests me.

The leather, the nav, the build quality, the ride, the handling, the transmission, etc.

I am sorry but the 528xi blows the 2012 TL out the water. The 2012 TL is a nice car but its not in the league with the 5 series. Not sure if the OP was looking at the F10 or the E60 but either way both of them>2012 TL. Maybe not in terms of performance....but everything else is much better.

Every thread i have seen comparisons about the 5 to the TL or any car to the TL people never really have a gripe with the interior mainly the exterior and lack of performance than some of the competitors.
But to each his own i won't be paying 50K starting to get a car that my 3G TL i traded in could out perform my current 4G can out perform and has nicer interior and in my opinion has a nicer more futuristic exterior just because it's a BEAMER.

I love my 4th gen TL but if i could go back i would've kept my 3rd gen TL saved my money and waited for the new model cars to come out. Because with everything going on and all the new technologies coming out and all the car companies competing for a dollar i think there are going to be some crazy cars coming out over the next five years.

There are a few...
Lexus ISF automatic only option I dont give a shit this car is a beast.
Pontiac G8 GXP if I can get over the american style of interior
2005 audi S4 Loads of fun to drive in these harsh winter months.
Dodge Ram SRT-10 ummmm motor makes up for that ugly interior.
