On NBP, they will not offer enough contrast IMO. I think they'd look good...I wonder if this is Unique Style Racing...if it is, I had suggested they smoke the turn signal area when I originally got my clear ones. The chrome being visible behind it eventually made me change back to my Type S. Why mess with perfection

 

I think it looks better on darker colors. Maybe if you're running an oreo theme it might work based on your execution.

 

The ghost ones (silver) would look good and so would the factory TL-S ones.

 

I think Type S tail light would look nice on a regular 3rd gen TL, maybe not smoked out... just imo.

 

Don't like the smoked look throughout one bit. Thumbs down.

Wow I was expecting some shitty tail lights, they don't look bad at all.

 

What makes yours different is that you have white centers on the tail-lights while the ones in the OP's listing are smoked a dark grey color!

 

Please don't compare my work to some cheap DEPO knockoff. Once again I am fighting with this company because that picture on their auction is MINE!! Its weas tail lights that I did for him and they look nothing like theirs because I tinted the outside unlike them where they just painted the whole bezel including the chrome turn signal area. I also used a translucent tint, where they used paint which isn't as translucent as a tint...

They never took off the picture and stopped emailing me.

--Those I did above, and these tail lights will look nothing like them. The thing with the DEPO ones is that all they did for the turn signal was paint the whole bezel black to give it that "smoked look" and the problem is that this will diffuse light and make you see the light bulb A LOT MORE and will dim the light A LOT.

When I smoke them I use a tint, they use paint so I am assuming even the brake light area will be dimmed and also these have clear reflectors which is 100% illegal in almost all states. Cops will give you a hassle more with these than all clear because not only is it illegal without red reflectors but its also illegal to smoke or "dim" the light down at all on a cars tail lights.

Why do you think they never take a picture of the actual tail light on a car or in day light and not just a digital photoshopped picture with a white back ground.

 

Don't have any plans to change out my taillights. If I did, I'd rock these.

Do you ever get pulled over for you tails?

 

When I make them I keep the red reflector in them as well as the red turn signal and reflector. The stipulation on most laws is a red reflector must be present and no braking light can be compromised and these don't violate either. At night you shine headlights on these tail light and you quickly see the red reflector as well as the red turn signal. The EBAY ones would violate all state DOT laws because there is no red reflector and the middle part is smoked. The EBAY ones also painted the signal chrome part to give it the "smoked" look which will diminish the light A LOT instead of smoking the actual clear turn signal cover itself.

Have you contacted Ebay about proprietary picture and the fact that they're falsly advertising using your image/product? I would imagine they would take it down and give them a warning. Sucks that they are trying to pass off your quality workmanship at a depo price. I'm sure buyer's will be pissed when they get a crap light.

 

He stopped answering me because he's trying to make a cheap buck and why would be use his own products? If ones products are good enough, no other work should suffice or be needed. Its funny because they stole the picture of the black and clear tail lights from me too..

I contacted EBAY, but they haven't gotten back to me yet. Its kinda of ironic because he said he got this picture from ACURAZINE...

 

I emailed the seller regarding fitment and they cant guarantee fitment so I'll stay away for now. I 'll post up the exact response later.

 

I have had completely cleared tails for a long ass time. Many cops have been behind me, and none have ever pulled me over for my tails. With that said....It could still happen.
