Are the Acura techs any good at identifying and solving ratles? Any pointers on getting them to find and fix rattles.

I'm taking my car in for the free 60 point inspection. I like to do maintenance myself. So, this is the first time I've taken this car in for anything. I'm now at 15k.

The hitch is I'm deaf, or nearly so. The rattles really don't bother me (but I KNOW the car rattles). What DOES bother me is when "hearing" people ride with me, I worry that the rattles bother them. I have the brembos and when I am backing up, I CAN hear them squeel. It must be bad if I (ME a deafie) can hear it with the windows up. So I'll have the TSB done for the brembos and hope that noise is resolved.

I read the TSBs on rattles, tried some of them myself. But from what I can tell, nothing I did helped the rattles.

I'll have the car completely cleaned out so they can hopfully identify the rattles better. Other suggestions (besides take a "hearing" friend along for a ride)? Frankly, I'm embarrased to have a hearing friend troubleshoot my 30k car rattles. IMHO, that's Acura's job.

 

There are a lot of us driving with the rattles....

And I understand what you are saying about your passengers saying...this is the only thing that bothers me the most...as they can hear it...a 2008 car shouldn't rattle period...but it does...its ok...that's why we got 5.1 surround sound, lol.

Yeah the sub is great for me (feel the vibes). I have heard (no pun intended) that it "rattles" too though.
