Im guessing around the side window trim right? You can try finding instructions on how to remove them, and then take it to a chroming shop.

Well if you’re determined, anything is do-able, and more power to you…

I would suggest you contact some local Auto Body shops to discuss the removal and installation of the trim rather than trying to remove them your self. To properly remove the trim requires the proper trim tools (Acura recommends the KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014) and a working knowledge of how the trim is attached to prevent damaging the trim or possibly scratching the paint

In the case of the TL, each door has three trim pieces framing the windows and I believe they are made of a painted thin metal alloy material and they are held on by a combination of clips, screws, wrap fit and double-sided tape that will need to be replaced. Access to these fasteners require further removal of the weather seals, mirrors, etc…

After that, you have two choices, remove your existing trim and park or drive around until the trim is ready to be reinstalled or acquire new trim pieces and after they’re plated, switch the pieces.

If you still want to do it yourself, PM me and I can send you the procedures from the manual or if you have access to the Service Manual, see pages: 20-15, 20-16 for the front doors and 20-26, 20-27, 20-28 for the back doors.

So after you get “em” done, post some pics for the rest of us to admire!

Good luck and happy motoring!

I believe "holybear" is talking about the chrome window trim which is not originally on TL.
Is there any autoshop able to change those rubber to chrome ones?

No, I believe he is referring to the same pieces that are chromed on the TSX, which in that case, are the same pieces I referred to earlier.

Good news is, the part count goes down by one trim piece per door for a cleaner look ala TSX or Infinity. BTW, these are a separate part from the window seals and are not made of rubber..

Or, buy a G35? I like the clean way it looks as is.

Only problems is that finger prints really show on black.

You know, I find it interesting how everyone thinks differently...if I had a car with lots of extra chrome (around the windows, door handles, bumper trim, etc), I would black out and/or body color the various parts. Here's a guy with with blacked out trim wanting to chrome it...to each his own...

Good luck with the project!

I'm thinking of just changing out the bottom pieces. I'll post pics when done.
