Angry I think I got hosed...

I bought Kaixen 5000k bulbs from ebay seller Kaixen_LiquidSound about a month ago now, paid and no shipment. At the beginning he was responding to my messages on ebay and now he is no longer a registered user on ebay! I think he took my money and ran, which baffles me because he had such a high feedback rating. If anyone bougth their bulbs from this seller and has his email (not ebay email messages) could you PM me with it or post it here? I'd like to try to get in touch with him to see if my package was shipped or if I can get my money back somehow? (I doubt it, I know)

Hopefully you paid with paypal.. if you did initiate a dispute IMMEDIATLELY.. your window is running out! I usually do this within 2 weeks!

If you're within the window and you paid with paypal, your chances are good to get your money back.

Its almost a month... I'm well over the 2 week point right now. I was talking to him back and forth so there was no reason for me to think that I was potentially getting scammed... sucks!

wow really?? I was just about to give up all hope and chalk it up as a loss too. What did you do/say to get your money back? Did you e-mail or call paypal? Next time around I'm gonna go with Excelerate, since so many people use that site

Suprmn, I've been using ebay and paypal since '99. Call/email paypal (or post up a dispute). They're on your side and will do everything they can to get your money back. I had a guy ship me sand in a box instead of the books I had ordered. Paypal got back about 90% of what I paid. Who the heck ships sand.

its simple- log into your paypal account and go to that transaction- click on `file a dispute`, fill out the form with the details you provided here--or there is a seperate dispute page you enter the item and transaction info
Press send

They ask that you try all contact first- you did- now seller gone ~under THAT name~ but may still be on,
they will check it out and get the product or a refund to you

You can bet paypal has insurance to cover just this sort of thing-

Wow... that's the ultimate scan.. he did that just so that when people file a dispute he can show tracking and proof of delivery!! Crazy how people try to scam people.

I've been on eBay since god knows when and actively sell with feedback over 1000+ but.. never would I ever think about pulling a stunt like that

Something like this happened to me when I ordered a lip kit for my girl's accord and paypal said I was outside the time period to get my money back so I just called my credit card company and told them I never received my package and they refunded my money within 24 hours.

The guy was out of the country... Australia to be exact. Looked sketchy from the beginning, but he had such a high positive feedback rating ( like 99.something%) from almost 2000 customers, that I didn't think it was going to turn out to be a scam. I bought the bulbs for about $99, including shipping. I'm definitely going to have to file a dispute with Paypal and if that doesn't work I'll try my bank out when I get out of work today. Thanks for the help guys!

And sand? Really?? Some people, huh?

stick with usa known places when you can--who buys bulbs from Down Under? its not like they are made there!
korea shipping would be factory direct

Excelerate is a well known vendor who has the bulbs in his hand today- ready to ship

a tip- when you order from overseas- US Customs can apply a tax to anything worth more than $100, thus killing your ~discount~ price

ask a Canuk how much it cost to bring parts in from the USA!!!

Yeah it's one of those lessons learned through experience, unfortunately. They weren't made in Australia obviously, they said they were an authorized dealer of Kaixen bulbs. The price was originally 68 USD and only 30 USD for shipping so once I saw that I went for it and what sealed the deal, like I said before, he had a high feedback and he responded back to me quickly. Sucks cause I don't buy a lot of things from ebay either, its one of those last resort places I fall back on if nothing else works. Now I'm going to have to buy carefully on sleaze-bay. Definitely going with Excelerate or any other genuine dealers people buy from on this forum
