Thumbs up I Pulled The Trigger

Finally, after many months of research, I ordered an APB w/ Camel 6sp non-navi from Acura of Ramsey, NJ. (I considered the G35x and X3 (for AWD - my wife's idea) but I kept coming back to the TL. Ramsey only had a handful of 6sps and none in APB, so they has to find one. The waiting is the hardest part. Hopefully they'll find one this week.

Thanks to the forum for the many hours of lurking fun.

Greg

Sweet combo!!
I commend you on your non-nav decision... I too could easily have done without it due to rarely using it... I just love the way it looks in the dash - paid $2K+ for that visual though (not to mention am a gadget freak)

Congrats, but if its not too late, I'd have that navi thrown in. You are a guy.... I could go on and on about the benefits of navi. Looks better, better safe then sorry, freakin cool, adds voice activation, adds sunlight sensors, allowes for future revers cam installation, ups resale value....

Greg,

I wish you lived in the Chicago area. I was at a dealer in the burbs this afternoon at they must have had at least 3 the way your looking for.

I think of it this way, I can buy a lot of raod maps for $2K. That being said, the Navi does fill that space on the dash nicely. Perhaps in another life.

Well, Road maps aren't voice activated and they sure as hell can't interface with your cell phone the way the navi system can. Plus with a map, you have to pull over or canonstantly fiddle with it rather than have the nav i system give you voice directions. Try to find people on here who "regret" getting the navi. You won't find 5 of 'em. Now, count the folks who WISH they'd bought Navi. PLENTY to choose from who wish they'd plunked down the extra cash.

Navi is awesome. I use it more than I thought I would, even just to see how my commute home from work is going (ie - compare with the usual time it takes me).

Just got back from a trip to Philly. Navi helped us out so many times.

I just need to trust "the b*tch" (my wife's nickname for the female voice) and not try to turn too early like I have been.

Don't get me wrong, the Navi would be fun to have, but 95% of the time that I will use this car I’ll commuting back and forth to work. When I travel to an unknown location, I’m usually with the wife and kids and we take the mini-van. We don’t have it in our Odyssey (’03) but my wife already has her eyes on the new Odyssey, so If we upgrade, we’ll definitely consider Navi.

Congrats dude. I pulled the trigger, too. I got 6MT, non-navi, AM/ebony and I'm flying up to Newark, NJ to pick mine up this Saturday and drive all the way back down to Georgia. I hate to put that many mileage on my brand new car, but it'll be the best way to break it in I suppose.
