I need some recommendations...

Hey guys, i am considering purchasing a third gen TL's and i am in need of recommendations. I had 01 cl-s, but due to frequent transmission problems, i had to sell the car. Is there any known problems with the third gen TL's? I am also considering in Infiniti M35 or Fx35. Thanks for your ideas..

There were still tranny issues with earlier 04 TL models. I haven't heard a large tranny failures for the 05 and above.

Search is sucking right now, but there was a similar question in the last couple of months. There are some minor, uncommon issues (seat leather/butt prints, rattles, reluctance to go into 3d gear on 6Ms,) but no major issues. More of the problems seemed to be encountered in the '04s than the subsequent years, so '05+ is a better bet.
'06+ have the tire pressure monitoring system, so I would be inclined to get an '06.
The '07+ TL-p/regular purportedly has a slightly softer suspension than prior 3Gs because of the Type-S variant, as well as the front fascia foglight and taillight changes.

Ya I've heard of 'possible problems' n stuff with the 2 stitching seat in the '04s rather than 3 stitch in '05 and above, and the transmission in the '04. But I have no problem with either

Thanks guys for your inputs. I am just surprised to find out that even the 3rd gen TL's have transmission problems.
