Leave the car as is. What's wrong with the car as it is?

I agree. The TL is great the way it is. If you want to mod your car, you should do so when you have EXTRA money, not SOME money. Theres a problem when you feel the need to spend every penny that you have no your car...

I'd keep it in the bank though, if I were your age.

but i would rather spend money and enjoy when i'm 20's than 60's... if you are already 60 year old, money doesn't really make much difference in your life IMO.

sure, thats great if you plan on living with mommy and daddy for the rest of your life. When you move away from home, you realize that you have more responsibilities and expenses and modifying your car should not be your top priority when you have a couple bucks in your pocket.
damn, i sound like an old man...
Well, you should only mod your car if you can afford to buy one (be it sways bar, nice set of rims, lights, header, spring, intake, etc...). Keep saving the money, then spend on the mod that you like the most first.

-if your daddy and mommy bought your TL, I'm sure that 5G came from your parents = he can mod his car
-if you bought your TL with your money AND have 5G in your pocket to mod your car, I'm sure you make enough money to live without trouble by using 5G on your car... I mean you are not gonna use 5G every month or anything...
c'mon now... if you are smart enough to drive TL, i'm sure you are able to manage your own money and see if you have 5G to mod your car or not...
anyways, being wise on spending money is a good idea no matter what..
To the original poster: A reasonable, inexpensive mod is a Comptech rear sway bar. It costs as little as $95 and can be self-installed. It is a cheap mod that is actually functional and can make your car a bit more fun to drive.
[hijack]There's nothing wrong with spending some money on your depreciating asset (see my sig) as long as you're not ONLY spending on said asset instead of saving/investing for retirement.
Sometimes, you have to enjoy your journey through this life.
With the thinking of some of the posters in this thread, why do you own TLs when a Chevy Aveo would do to get you from point A to point B?

[/hijack]Everytime a young person blows $4,000 or $5,000 on something frivolous (and let's face it, mods on a car fall in the category of frivolity, especially in the case of the TL which is already a very very competent car straight out of the box), it delays the moment when he/she'll be ready to put up that downpayment on real estate which is the most likely way of ensuring financial stability in the long run.
I don't mean to preach, so forgive me if I'm sounding that way. It's just that we live in a society where consumerism reigns supreme, and it almost always leads to financial disaster in later years. I'd hate to see that happen to people who've had enough good sense to buy a car like the TL.
Peace.
P.S. If you happen to be absolutely rolling in it, then by all means, mod your car to your heart's content.

Of course, there'll be plenty of detractors to say 21 is too early to start thinking about buying real estate, but why conform to the masses? Why not get ahead of the game?.....

Back on topic, I disagree with the guy who said to tint. To tint the car according to Acura's suggestions, and to get a long-lasting color, you really need to use ceramic tint, and this costs $350-400. Sure, you can get a dye-based, non-metallic tint for cheaper, but it won't last as long.
