I need help getting glue off of the sunvisor
I need help getting glue off of the sunvisor
I peeled off the stupid warning sticker off of my 05 TL it left a whte residue behind. anybody have any luck getting rid of it? It is a fabric visor I tried Krudd cutter and also fabric cleaner so far.
I can't vouch for this method, so try at your own risk...
Lay a piece of clean, absorbent fabric over the area and apply a warm iron to soften the glue in the hopes it gets absorbed by the fabric more than the visor. Make sure the iron isn't too hot that it scorches or melts the visor fabric.

Since I have been in this forum, no one that I remember has had any luck in getting the glue residue off after removing the sticker. Some people had to buy a new visor, and some people found a woodgrain tape type stuff that matched the visor and put that on.
i think it is punishment from the acura lawyers for removing their beloved sticker
I am going to try my lean green cleaning machine and see if that works. It shoots heated carpet or upholstry cleaner out if that doesn't work I savedt the sticker

I got very good results with using goo gone. I have a quartz interior and there is slight (Very slight) difference in color where the sitckers were. Looks more like fading then anything else.
Looks TONS better then those fuggly stickers. I put the Goo gone on a paper towel instead of trying to squirt it onto the visor. I would take a picture but, it is dark out.
Now if I could get the other stickers off (the ones on the cover for the vanity mirror) I would be in business. Can't stand all these idiot stickers.

You can also purchase a visor from a Canadian TL. I believe they don't have the stupid warning stickers. I hate those fugly things!! I don't know why they make it so hard to remove them, I guess it might be some legal issue but they should be easier to remove.
Here are some pics of the Canadian model. I would like to see a US visor, before removal, after removal, and after the Goo Gone treatment.
The fabric used on the roof liner and visors is pretty ugly but likely a good sound absorber. Anyway the visors on the Canadian model look decent with no unsightly stickers except for the ones on the vanity mirror cover.

Okay finally got around to taking pictures of mine with the stupid stickers removed.
Not the greatest of pictures was in a rush. Needed more light / time.
But, you can see what it looks like. And before someone asked the marks towards the front of the right side one is from a clip for my radar detector.
