I must be stupid. LOL
Well, I finally decided to after owning car for three months, and putting 3000 miles on it, to check out the tire changing jack and procedures.
What I cant figure out, is in the round plastic container, where the changing equiptment is stored, is what three of the pieces are for. And in the manual , under tire chaning procedures, I dont see a mention of it, or I am missing it.
The three pieces are the round eyelet type hook, and the two pieces with the threaded ends, that look like sockets with screws at the end.
Can anyone tell me, what those are for and how used?
Thanks flatfoot

That is the tow hook that goes into the hole in the front bumper that you are talking about.
Of course, if you don't know what it is, it is hard to look up in the owner's manual, so check around page 251 (04 manual) for "If your vehicle gets stuck".

a) is there an alternate way, of dimming and lightening the nav system, then holding down the toggle button for ten seconds.
If I dont do this , when the car is still, at least my tl bounces around too much, to keep the pressure directly on the center. Its a complete pain.

If you have your Nav set to auto and the display set to max brightness the Nav will show in the daytime setting, hit the max button again and your panel brightness will toggle over to wherever you have the dimmer set and the Nav screen will go to the night setting.
Hope this helps
