I might of set a new record

I picked up my new, Satin Silver 2005 6 speed TL last night around 7 o'clock.......and was a victim of a parking lot hit and run around 10 o'clock.
Amazing. Great car though, even with a crushed fender.

Serves you right. How could you park the car after owning it for only 3 hours? I couldn't get out from behind the wheel for 36 hours when I bought mine and only because I had to take a dump. The cup holder's good, but it's not that good.

Maybe you set a record for a TL, but not a car.....

About 45 years ago, my mother was crossing a street under construction slowly... the light changed red on her while she was still in the intersection and POW!! A car T-Boned her hard..

The driver of the other car had pulled out of the dealership less than two miles down the street and totaled his car (and my moms)....

Oh yeah, I had the insurance all set up, but I have $250 deductable. I just hope they can match the paint. Faded paint certainly isn't an issue.

At least you don't have to worry about that first scratch anymore
Enjoy it anyway.

Well at this damage is bad enough that I have to get it fixed. With that first scratch you always wonder if's worth getting it repaired.

Sorry to hear about your car. Around the same time you picked yours up I was picking mine up from the body shop. A hit and run a few weeks ago took out the rear bumper and trunk while the car was parked in a lot, way out in the middle of nowhere. What is it about the TL that scares people off?

BTW - I had the shop leave off the "Acura" and "TL" badges after repainting th trunk. I think I like the clean look. I can always stick them back on in the future.

It's just one of those things that you can't let bother you. Being all pissed off isn't going to get the car repaired any sooner. Somewhere in the Cincinnati area is a jerk that knows he did something very irresponsible and somewhere, someday it will come back to haunt him. I know I'm a better person than him and gosh darn, people like me.

That's nothing. I went to law school at Duke from 1995 to 1998 and the first year there I had a roommate from France. He arrived in Durham on a Friday in August. The following day, he and three other foreign students went down to Raleigh to look for a car. They took a car (don't remember what it was) for a test drive. Less than a mile from the dealership, an old lady ran a red light, hit the car they were test-driving, lost control of her car, and crashed into the traffic light pole and was killed.

Welcome to America, huh?

At least, if someone had to be killed, it was the old lady who ran the red light who was killed.
