I know this is possible! A-SPEC front bumper question...

Ok so I know about all of the TL A-Spec bumper threads (spent hours researching threads) and what not but it seems as though every time this question comes up it, there is no definitive answer. So here's the story

I have always loved the look of the TYPE S A-SPEC bumper kit. I was rear ended last month by a dump truck in my 2006 Acura TL and had my whole rear end replaced to the type s style bumper. I recently got a hold of a type s a-spec kit for free from a friend. Did some IT work for his company in exchange for them...

Anyway, I have no problem with fitment anywhere except for the front bumper since the side skirts never changed and my rear bumper being a type s bumper now.

My question is has anyone actually went the route of installing a 07-08 type s a-spec lip on an 04-06 bumper? I have seen countless times how it can "be done with modification" but haven't seen anyone actually say, YES I DID IT. Just looking into costs on getting this done. I have no problem modifying and would rather go this route as opposed to buying a type s front bumper all together. Any insight on this would be great.

All you have to do is use a dremel tool and cut the middle section out of your bumper. There's a thread about it somewhere but I'm on my phone and can't search for it.

I typed "07-08 type s a-spec lip on an 04-06 bumper" in google.

Came up with this thread in seconds: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/07-08-front-aspec-lip-04-06-bumper-862503/

Which also led to this from ^ that thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/ua6-ua7-bumper-conversion-help-765014/

I know you do this for the back if you have an 04-06 back bumper.. Is the front the same way. I am more worried about the front bumper of the 04-06 being smaller than the type s

ggesq thanks again guy for your help. I looked into this and it is exactly what I needed. I think next time I will just PM one of you guys instead of burning a new thread. For some reason I tried typing what you typed in Google and still didnt get what you got. Somethings up on my end. Will look into that later.

OK SO THE ANSWER TO MY QUESTION IS...

YES IT CAN BE DONE!!!
