I have some questions

sorry in advanced everyone, I searched the best I could and answered alot of my questions but I still have a few un-answered.

The first has to do with the two blue lights by the homelink that shine over the shifter. One of them is out and I need to replace it, anyone know how or what kind of bulb i need? Does the dealership do that?

Second question has to do with the glove box and center console lights, I got the 74-x bulbs from superbrightleds.com and they were too long (just by a tad) to fit back in the socket so I couldnt install them. Will the 73-x3 bulbs be smaller or does anyone know where i can get the 74 sized led bulb that will fit?

yeah, not sure about those blue lights that hang above the shift.
if you go to v-leds.com they have a fitment guide, which will help you with the bulbs. I buy there all the time, i did an LED interior conversion to bright white.

I think the blue lights are LED's. I'm 95% sure that it's not as simple as a bulb change. How old is the car, still under warranty? See if the dealer will replace for free.

For the 74 bulbs, I got mine from V-LEDS.com. I bought these:

http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/G...81040-1-2.html

They fit well, light output in the arm rest is good, but glove box is so so....that's really becasue the light design acura went with is too small for a space that large, and the placement also sucks. I'm looking at replacing it with an LED strip.

For the backup bulbs, I went with the 9 LED SMT Tower from www.autolumination.com, and they do the job. They look great and give me ample light with the reverse cam, plus they were really reasonably priced.

VLEDs is definitely the way to go!!! They have a fitment guide if you need it and I've had good luck with their products thus far!

The dealer may replace the entire HomeLink/Upper console if its under warranty. Understand that bulbs are considered a "wear item" and may not fall under warranty. I know I was denied a new tail light LED board for that reason. That particular bulb is a 3mm blue LED soldered directly onto the circuit board. You could replace yourself if you're handy with electronics---soldering and stuff. There is a series if threads in the 3G Garage on replacing all of the bulbs with LEDs.
The #74 bulbs are a PITA to make fit. You really have to jam them into the sockets, but they will fit.
For the reverse bulbs---HIDs, baby!!

Actually, for a good set of LED's it will set you back like $20. Those DDM HID kits are so damn cheap now (Like $35) that if you don't mind doing some wiring, the HID's could be the way to go!
