I have one Canadian and one US headlight ... !
Hello AcuraZine,
I'm new to the forum, but a long time visitor. So, recently I have decided to keep my 3G 2004 Acura TL, and have decided to do some DIY appearance mod's. When I purchased my car early March, the previous owner had a full woodgrain trim all over the center console (YUCK! took me 5 hours to get most of it off, left only the door trims.), a unpainted spoiler lip (first thing I took off !), and a reverse sensor. The only thing that made me happy was the wood-gain knob replacement. LOL! So recently, I noticed that I have a Canadian driver headlight and a US passenger headlight ... I'm pretty sure that's the cause (lots of Google-ing) and due to one being a new replacement, the HID output and lens are kinda distorted. I would take a picture if there's some confusion.
I want smoked, clear corner headlights, which I see a lot of you have !
Any Advice ? should I hint down a headlight (which have been very hard) or just buy a pair ( I saw some questionable ones on Ebay ... that's for another thread to discuss. LOL )

There's no difference between the US and CAD headlight aside from the 04-06 having nipples [us].
You can thus easily remove it when you get your headlight worked on.
Oh yeah, and that the US has a different bulb size. 9005 vs 9006 [or was it the other way around?].
It's not that big of a deal, the tabs are pointed different directions but the plug is the same.

the 9005 bulb can also be modded to fit the 9006 location, i think one tab just needed to be trimmed.

That's not an issue either as that can be easily changed.
The actual tab [the 3 semi-rectangular pieces] are pointed different directions though.

The oring size is also different and should be changed to the one off a 9006. i modded some HIR bulbs on my integra , they were amazing for halogen.

I agree with you and to top it off all we got it daytime running lights when the us cars got fogs there. They could have just made them fogs that also worked as drls on both us and Canadian cars.

Although it's not that big of a difference it still seems it's missing that something [the nipple/fog].
Stupid Canadian law and the DRLs.

Here is a pair of 07-08 ones but no ballasts, and yours are a different size. http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rd...654212815.html
