This is the stupidest fucking thing people can do; lie to the court.

I was going to jump in here also and state what a stupid thread title that was, along with the fact that your post made it that much worse, but I see that you are 19, so I realize that it wouldn't do any good......
Then again, thank goodness most 19 year olds I know from my older kids and from church are so much smarter......
Nice job on the postings of others btw. This forum can do some cussing, but there was some cleverness all over this thread. Good job......

So what do you say about the LEO that see your $30,000+car, come from out of there hiding spot (saw him before I got to him) then follow you to see if you are speeding, then when he realizes you are not speeding turns around ( this was before my tint i am quite sure he would have stopped me).

Can't have to much respect for that.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL thanks for the laugh.
he gets behind you to run your plates.
they are doing their job.
then when he sees that you dont have any outstanding warrants and or you didnt commit an infraction he lets you go.

If any of you have any questions, regarding police work and if they are properly doing their job, why dont you just ask one....

For the record, I found a less rural road to travel on so I don't have to worry about the county fuzz hiding behind trees.

LOL you got caught whatever big deal it happens.

everyones just going to bash you for your title
anyways....if you dont mind paying the 100 for the rare occasions that you do get pulled over for tints i say keep your tints...thats what i would do
It all depends on your state

ive gotten pulled over once for tints...limit was 35% and I was at 10% cop said he was going to write me a 300 dollar ticket...something about massachusetts law...I just told the cop to slash the top edge of each window so that the tint wud be damaged and i would be forced to take em off and he agreed

lol btw....retinting the car costs 130 for me

Ignorance at its best, people complain about police officers not doing their job when people fly around on highways causing accidents, then bitch when the do their ACTUAL job. Oh that the LEO saw your 30,000$ car? Dam he must have been soooo impressed by that car and since it cost 30 grand he singled you out? That's one of the most dimwitted comments iv ever seen. My jeep cost around 32,000$ when it was new, so are they looking at me when I drive by? People who say they hate cops cause they get caught breaking the law are the lowest of the low in society today, these men and women are getting killed left and right just for wearing a badge that says they are sworn to protect you and your family. Grow up and admit what you did, which was break the law.

window tint tickets are a routine for me i simply get them dissmissed with a bootleg hand written receipt from my buddies shop saying he took them off for me and showed it to the prosecuter when the judge asks if i took them off. tints are still on the car and not comming off. the same cop that gave me a ticket once, told me how to beat the ticket. i personally love the city tickets because they are a 25 dollar fine and dont go on your driving record nore do you get a court date. thats just me if your not willing to pay all of this money because of your tints, take them off.

Whoah. Maybe shoulda put it in red text lol. Little to excited libert69

Anyways, I know in Texas, any undercover or cop/authority has a "EXEMPT" license plate. So I know if someone is just in a Malibu or Crown Victoria that is not really a cop

In North Carolina no one is going to buy a jeep let alone steal one. Cops profile its a fact. If a nice car drives by it going to be noticed. I doubt if the cop would have followed a Honda civic. Are some type of cop wanna be?

You type in a voice riddled with profound arrogance. If you take a look at any study, such as the one detailed below, perhaps you can recalibrate your position, although I doubt there's a chance in hell you would. You'll notice there isn't a single Lexus or BMW on this last - damn nice cars, last I checked.

I would encourage you to read the article, but I doubt you will.

The internet is the new vehicle for obtaining empathy from one's peers - be it legal in nature, or simply seeking approval for improving one's car.

This. Even undercover cop cars are pretty easy to spot. Especially if you've been driving behind one for any length of time. Although, Lee, I don't think he should try to fight it. Passing or not passing, he was speeding and that's all there is to it. His best bet is probably just to show up in court, be presentable and polite, and try to get out of it by acting decent and hoping they'll let it slide because it's so minor. I don't think he has much of a chance otherwise. My

Yep you're right, there are NO Jeeps around here. I've never seen one before. What do they look like?

Dumb.

I have two family members in law enforcement and they say they pull over whoever is speeding, whether it be a Ferrari or a Prius. Breaking the law is breaking the law.

You're only 19 years old and you made a rookie mistake. You live and you learn...btw if you have a picture of your TL BEFORE you put the tint on you can take that to court to show them that you removed the tint and they might throw the ticket out...I've seen it done many times. Although this is illegal so try at your own risk.

OP: You knew the tint was illegal along with speeding. Everyone here that mods know these facts. Both of my cars are tinted and if I get pulled over and ticketed it's just the way it is. As for speeding I have radar and try to keep an eye out. I don't drive my TL too crazy imo most I did was 90 I think, the SC is a different story lol.

funny-I live on the coast of NC and there a numerous Jeeps-(especially on the beach). Hubby was followed and stopped by a NC state trooper. Received a ticket ($100.00) for failing to wear a seatbelt. He was driving a hyundai. He paid the fine and yes he uses a seatbelt .

For those recommending that the OP lies to a judge: I would highly condemn lying in court. Not only it is illegal but the return on taking such enormous risk is insignificant – pay the tickets and move on with your young life. Last thing you want is that same cop following you to your car/work/home to prove you didn’t take the tint off. How would she know you ask? I will leave that for episode #2 of your ‘get to know your cops’ series… But I will tell you that they rub shoulders with so many people that they can usually read you like an open book in 8 secs or less.

OP, on the slippery slope to "stardom"...

You are such a mindless fool that you couldn't tell you were driving RIGHT BEHIND a unmarked police car, and then you get upset that you got a ticket for speeding past it? Oh the giggles...

Hey OP, when was that last time you took responsibility for anything?

I have only the rear windows on my TLS tinted, the front don't have any. I know its against the law so I didn't get them done. Having all windows tinted here in NJ is just begging to get pulled over. BTW I have PBA cards & a member shield in my front windshield, so I don't get stopped. But honestly at the age of 45 I don't speed or screw around, I'm in no rush.

I heard from many LOEs that those cards mean absolutely nothing to them especially that you can now buy them online for few bucks or even buy your used car with them. They also mentioned that usually those with such cards are the ones that usually break the law and want a cheap get-outta-jail ticket.

i see cops speeding all the time with no lights on. what gives them the right and not me?
ive seen them run red lights with their lights on then turn them off.
how do they expect me to uphold the law if i see them doing the opposite. followed a cop down the highway one time, i hit 95mph and he was still losing me.
