I Don't Understand Why

Why do Honda Pilots, Honda Ridgelines, Acura MDX & Nissan Muranos constantly try and race me? Do they realize they are SUVs and weigh more than me. I had this stupid soccer mom tailgating me this morning in her Pilot so when traffic opened up I put a country mile on her. I get to the street where my job is and a idiot in Murano starts tailgating me..WTF !!

They may have SUV's & vans, but you have a FWD nose heavy FAMILY SEDAN...not too far from what they have if you think of it like that.

now that you guys bring it up, women do love to tailgate. out here they are behind the wheel of big ass trucks or SUVs. i let them tailgate but, when it comes to them trying to change lanes and attempt to pass, i tell them by using slower traffic in their lane to block 'em off. they never learn though.

You might of jinxed yourself after we were just ranting about soccer moms in the "I got Beat by a Titan" thread.

My pet peeve is when 1,000,000 pound Suburbans or Tahoes try to drive like their car is a nimble porsche or something. When (not if) they hit someone in a car, they are usually unblemished and the other car is TOTALLED.

Soccer moms are all out to lunch. They tailgate because they're in such a hurry in their sad cookie-cutter lives. Such a rush to get through their generic and dull lives.

Sure, lots of soccer moms in SUVs are terrible drivers; always on their cell phones, etc., but I truly appreciate my wife who is a "football mom" and drives my two boys to their karate lessons, their football and basketball practices, church youth group bible studies, does all the grocery-shopping, while working at a regular job in the mornings. She drives a Camry.

Keeping the kids busy, in productive activities and out of trouble takes real work. Seeing their kids happy and doing activities they want to do is anything but dull and generic.

Same with my wife and .

That said, "soccer moms" as drivers are no worse than auto commuters who spend more drive time focusing on their Blackberrys than being attentive to the stop 'n go traffic in which they are immersed.

I've have co-workers who've been hit by said soccer moms. They were completely out to lunch. While my evidence is anecdotal, I've seen it nationwide.

And yes the "power workers" with their Blackberries driving their VW Toureg at 105 mph are just as bad if not worse.

speaking of chics......

this one girl in her c-series benz was tailgating me in the fast lane. I actually saw her car come up from my side view mirrors about 6 car lengths back and she was weaving in and out of the fast lane to pass people. I punch the gas so she can't pass me so she gets behind me in the fast lane and begins to tailgate.

So I slow down, then she cuts over to the next lane and punches it. I let her get to my passenger door and then I gun it and get like 2 car lengths on her before I let off.
I slow down again, and she does the same thing. So I'm like, "not on my watch beeyotch!" Then I wait for her to come up to my passenger door and I stomp on it again. Hahaha. Too damn funny. C-class go home!

Also, on top of that. It's not like she would have made any major time by passing me. It was rush hour traffic and there were tons of cars ahead of me in the car-pool lane. I love it when these daddy's girl's drive around in their 3-series and c-class benzos.

Haha! You're talking about my mom. Not only does she have the habit of running errands on her lunch break, she keeps working on her blackberry while driving her black v8 touareg.

This past monday, there were two guys in a ford expedition in the left lane. Really, you dont understand how much I hate SUV's in the left. I really dont care how fast you're going, you dont need to be there. He was obviously considering pinning me in the middle, as there was a car infront of me. I dropped to third and wasted him, and can you believe this guy went to the HOV lane to try to fly by me? Well, I'd just gotten my car back after a 6 week hiatus.. and lets just say, I was having none of that

haha you guys crack me up. I've never had any people try to race me at all in my TL. I'm installing my Tein SS tomorrow so maybe the lowering combined with my new wheels will make the mini vans and SUVs come after me too.

no i am talking about the C-class sedan AMG model... Sun Diego is right... C55 AMG looks like a regular C-class sedan but is the AMG model with a V8 and pushes about 360+hp... it replaced their prior C32 AMG model... if u meet a debadge C55 AMG thinking it is a crappy C230K or C240-C320, you are in for a VERY rude awakening... be careful...

here is one on ebay...

Last night a lowered Cadillac Deville tried to race me from a light (the road goes from 2 lanes to 1) I beat him without exceeding the speed limit, he then proceeds to turn his high beams on/off/on/off/on/off for a full minute right behind me. I flip my mirror, open my sunroof and gave him to the big ol' bird. So then... he turns on the most ridiculous sounding gangster rap music. He's not helping his case....

You get better spacing for runs in the truck lanes....especially on weekends. That said, there is too much NJSP action between 11 and 12 so go easy is that section.

Sidenote: When I ran against a TL-S a few years ago, we did so on a surprisingly empty section of turnpike between 9 and 8A.
