I am an idiot

Backing out, scrapped against the railing. Scratched paint and a small dent. My baby had just had it's Schedule A. I'm a moron

No backup sensors I guess? Might be worth it for the next time. I've had many close calls but zero hits as I know well in advance.

get the backup camera and video switch from avelectronic.com. Expensive, but worth it. And you can hide the backup camera so it doesn't have those ugly backup sensor holes.

Yeap that is bad... but I 've done the same. I've backed out and I didn't see a construction road sign (that was in the road) and scratched my bumped and the side on my car. I've had the car for only 2 week. So I'm a moron, too :'(

For now on, I pain a lot more of attention when I back up. Notice that the rear and side visibility is not so good on the TL when you back up.

What looks worse - small holes the same colour as the car or dents and scrapes?? I actually like the look of the sensors. Everyone asks what they are and are amazed how well they work.

This discussion keeps coming up but I have yet to hear from anyone who has the sensors that actually hit something while backing up!

I really ticked, I've never done something like that. Probably a few hundred to fix (not sure I'll do it). I should look into the sensors or the backup camera.

A rear camera would be nice but I don't know how effective it would be. Sure it would be easy to back into a space but what about if backing at an angle? There isn't any sound notification (? is there) so you could still hit something on the side, The sensors cover behind the back doors all around and you don't have to watch anything. I've never had problems backing straight into a spot, its the sides and corners where its most useful for me. I'm still not convinced a camera is worth it.
