Anybody been humbled by another car that you thought you shouldn't have?
Went from an 80 roll on a freeway last night with an RSX ( possibly built- N1 exhaust, lowered, rolling on 19's) and he was walking away when I backed off at 130. Never could get him/her to stop-wanted to check their car out.
I thought when I did go by them once, gages on the a-pillar.

I'm not sweatin- I just wanted to actually look at the car, but he/she wouldn't pull over. Just to get them to maybe keep in touch kinda thing.
I'm just into making my car look good and sound good.

Eventually you just stop worrying about being faster than everyone. Now its just if I have a nice ride that can still get up and go to pass at highway speeds.
I think buying a motorcycle really opened my eyes to the futility of trying to make a car fast.

Those of you who express surprise (or even shock and dismay) at finding that there are cars faster than the TL really shouldn't. I had mine (an A-Spec) for about a year and, honestly, it's just not a fast car and I don't think it was ever meant to be. I liked it for its all-round ability, its extensive features list, and its attractive design. I hope I don't get flamed for this, but if we wanted cars to win every stoplight battle with, we wouldn't have bought the TL.
Yea but I beat my friends an RSX-S turbo from a dig and a roll, but he had base map, but still he has boost and a lighter car. But yea the TL isnt a race car but you cant help to enjoy it from time to time

OP, Only way an Auto can even keep up with a Type-S is to use that fake me out manual mode to hold the gear to redline. My bet is that RSX was just an exhaust and CAI at the most a reflash. Auto TL's only threat to that car is 3rd gear, so racing past 80 means you dimish your chances of beating him drastically.
And in true ricer fashion I need to remind you: it doesnt matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winnings winning.

zzzzzzzz... go fix your dented door. and your busted tie rod - snap crackle pop!
even if you get an M5 theres always gonna be someone faster...unless you can afford and is willing to get a top of the line performance vehicle...
like someone above me stated and I agree, bought the TL for its balanced overall quality and features, not to race past everyone on the street.

I actually agree with you. I was in a Chevy dealer and had a GM discount in my hand for about 6k off on a Vette (and if your name is Sebring Silver you know what I mean!!!). I just couldn't do it. I needed a daily driver and want to get it paid off before I buy a toy. Secondly, there is WAY more to performance than stop light racing. One of the major car mags just went to track testing as their performance barometer. Many cars can beat you to 1350 feet, however some can't make the next turn!

The "Sebring Silver" namesake is in reference to my beloved '94 (JDM) NSX, nothing to do with Chevys!!

I guess I got that wrong. Chevy used that color name for the C5 Corvette
