huh??!! One Touch Start for TL-S???
I just read the review on topspeed.com review ( maybe topgear.com.. Forgot)
It said the TL-S comes with One Touch Start only available on 5AT.
Am I missing something or the reviewer is on some ill shit??
Cuz I wouldnt call "traditional Twist your Wrist key start" a One Touch.. ( well technically it IS one touch..)

However, you don't need to hold the key while the car starts. Just 1 twist forward and let go and the car will initiate the start sequence.
"One Touch" ?

WOW! Different expectations.
Why, back in the day sonny, we had to get out in the freezing cold and crank the F'n thing ourselves. I find starters and keys to be pretty GD high tech.

what they list as the one touch is like what bearcat said, you put the key in and turn it once and let go and the car cranks on its own. You dont have to hold the key to crank it. I wish we had the push start button but its all good.

hmm i tried it today earlier and it actually need 1 crank to start. btw i was saying we don't have 1 push start button as we would just leave the key fob in your pants and start your car in touch of a button (a great feature in the Avalon) that i like.

by having the push start, it takes away the cool factor of using the TL's switch blade. From all of the switch blade keys i played with, i think the TL's is built the best. Although its heavy, its a solid built piece
i like the one touch start. i guess they were implementing that "one touch" was meant for "one touch of the ignition" to crank.
"touch start" and "push start", completely different wording. no confusion here

11 months in my 08 TL-S, still searching for the push-start button
I sit in other people's car, and I can't seem to start it as I let go before it ignites, lol. Ahh, the little things we get use to =]
