HPT Specs / Experience?

Hi.. my TL is coming with HPT tires and frankly, I don't know very much about them. I really just grabbed at the first Anthracite 6spd NAVI TL that came out of the factory and it just happened to be shipping with these tires instead of the BS EL-42's.

All I know is that they increase the road noise compared to the regular stock tires. Does anyone have a review of the tires from experience? What brand/make are they? What size are they compared to the stock?

Thanks.

They are Bridgstone, Potenza. They are very good and the stock with no vibration problems. I'm them on my 6MT and am very happy with the result. SInce you're in CA you need not worry about the cold. They are not any good in cold weather since they are summer tires. Grips the road like glue. Very happy with them.

Thanks for the input. Does anyone else have any experience or know the specs in comparison?

I have them on my TL. Not bad tires, but nothing spectacular. They handle pretty well in the rain. I have about 3K on them in 3 mos, expect to get about 15K on them. Will likely get something different when it comes time to replace next year.

Here is the write up at tirerack:

I have 6500 miles on my HPT's and they are doing great. They handle very well in the dry and good in the wet. They are not nearly as noisy as I would have thought. (They may get noisier down the road.) I rotated them at 5K and they have a lot of tread left. ( I highly recommend you don't go more than 5K between rotations.) Two things that are not often mentioned reagrding the HPT's: the tread is much wider than the all seasons and they have a good rim protector. All in all I am quite happy with these tires.
