How should I argue price?

Ok I'm about to start arguing the price of my new TL. Any suggestions? I'm getting NHB with navi and all the ground effects with the wing. I can afford 38,000 out the door ( i live in PA that sales tx is 6%). Since I know what I can do out the door, that's the price I'm going to argue. How's that sound?

Thanks for the suggestions

sounds like you better be aware that acura knows that it has a huge hit on its hands and they will sell 'your' car to the next person coming in. if you can get 1000 off take it.

im about to pay 34,534 (without tax and tags) for an Anthracite/Ebony/NAV/5AT with ground effects kit, decklid spoiler, protection package, and the front rubber mats.

you should be able to do better than 38 out the door i think

when he says 38 out the door he means everything inlcuding tax title and all that junk. so your price of 34534 with 6% tax comes out to 36606.04 which is well below 38. i think for a TL with nav anything from 36ish and below is a good deal out the door. if you are paying more than that then you are paying closer to msrp and not really getting anything off the car. dealers will give you extras like protection package and stuff like that. but the cost of those items to them are very cheap. but if there are things that you want anyways it doesn't hurt to get them at a bargain.

me1abPSU,

Will you please share your negotiating/shopping experience with me ? I live in Gibsonia, and am planning to buy a TL. I'm not sure any PGH dealers are willing
to negotiate.

Another strategy is to send quotes via the internet. I used this strategy and got the car for about $1k over invoice. That was without the navigation though.

Couldn't get them below 38,900 for a OTD price. How the hell do people in here get such good deals?
