How to Shorten Shift Knob on A/T TL

Just did it with a towel and grips, look's awsome. My only issue was I went alittle hard with the grip's and got a couple scratches in the leather knob. That was MY bad though. All in all

Great mod for free!

I was just reading about this and decided to do it! I did it about five minutes ago and it only took me 20 seconds on my TL-S. I think it looks great! plus I like the feeling on your hand.

i actually did mine 2 days ago while driving from bk to the x.... the lower it got the harder it was to turn but with a little muscle it was quite easy to do, feels much better lower

its not a base TL, its a Type-S you can tell because the "aluminum" trim is different than the base model...it fits on the base models though if you feel like spending the $$

do they make a greddy shifter, or other aftermarket knobs that fit the stock shifter that look nice?

I cut mine, I was warned by my Acura parts guy that the threads in the type s knob can strip easily and to be careful.
