How often do you change battery?
How often do you change your battery? I have alays bought Die Hard Gold batteries & I change them every 3 to 4 years. I am probably changing them too frequently, but I have never had a battery problem & don't want one.
Thanks

I change my Battery when it dies. Last week on my 2005 TL the battery would not start my car so I brought it into the dealer. I waited 30 minutes and my battery was replaced under warranty.
My TL came with a 100 month warranty on the battery.

When I first started to read that, all I was thinking was, "I hope he got the dealer to replace it" then I read till the end, haha.
I've read many posts about TL owners getting batteries replaced under warranty due to premature failure. I just can't imagine how many people don't realize the dealership will reimburse for this / replace it if you take it there.

I had my battery changed this year. I had the car for 3yrs and the battery was litterly dying on me. But again...I have a 1200 watt system in my car. So probably that itself drained the life of the battery.

I have had to jump my car several times. I brought my to the dealer twice. They signed off on saying the battery was OK. I've had to jump it twice since then. I bought a new battery last night because I didn't want to get caught waiting for the dealer to make up its mine when the battery. My car is 2006, 22 mos. old and 34k miles.
The battery made a new a huge difference in my lights which tells me that my old battery was on it last leg.
Note> A Bad battery can lead to alternator failure.

They are a dry cell battery and preform like a deep cell but also have highcold cranking amps.
They also carry a 48 month full replacment warrenty and then are prorated to 100 months after that. They are pricey...but high quality doesnt come cheap, and they come with one hell of a warrenty.
Doesnt show that Im a battery tech for Enersys does it? lol

Purchased my 04TL in Dec of 03 and my OEM battery is still cranking fine. Most OEM batteries are basically a 48 month battery. Past that point is gravy.
I can however tell when it gets it's coldest here in Dallas that it cranks slower than normal, and I would guess it would not last if I had to crank for any length of time. Sure it's cranking slower given the temp but it definitely doesn't have the stamina etc..
I plan to change it this summer or fall for the reason the OP mentioned - never had a battery leave me stranded and I'd rather not have that happen.
Cheers

"The DieHard platinum is made by Odessy Battery "
The Die Hard Platinum is a great battery but I couldn't justify paying double the price of a Die Hard gold since I change out the battery every 3 to 4 years.
