I got the 07 TL Type S that I am selling for $5300, 186k miles. I think that price is fair and reasonable.

It depends, assuming it is an automatic and really beat, then yes, the price is fair and reasonable. If the car is clean then the price is low.

I don't think a 3G could ever get 40% of that price...

Especially since it's more than it's original MSRP!

Nice, sell!

I am selling my 07 TLS 186k miles for $5,300. I think its a fair asking price, since the closest one near me in St. Louis was listed at $9k

For what it's worth, I just talked to a coworker who sold his "08 type S 6 speed manual with 160k on the odometer for $7500. I thought that was a bit low, and whoever got it got a steal, considering my coworker is a bit older and took good care of it. I wish I woulda knew he was selling it before it was too late, I would have snagged it and sold my 06.

Not sure what the good laugh would be for. My 2006 6MT with 114,000 had a similar asking price two years ago and I ended up buying it for $10,000. Even though the car in this link is effectively three years older at time of sale, it only has 69,000 miles on the clock. Pretty good bet he gets close to ten-grand for the car.

Well... That's a nice Anthracite TL!

$13K is a bit high, however...

Does anyone think doing the nexus 7 mod would add/subtract from a private sale price?

I agree, it's a beautiful car, but 13K? No way. If I was a betting guy I would imagine he gets somewhere between 9-10k. Also, it doesn't show a timing belt on the carfax either. However, it's worth what someone is willing to pay, if someone is giving him that, good for him. I just don't see it happening.

One showed up YESTERDAY. I am going to look this week, so wish me luck! The last two I looked at where in terrible shape and with my job I don't have time to put in the work you've done to your TL. One I drove started bucking whenever you were in first and the clutch was fully engaged, hopefully someone with the time fixes it and gets it road worthy again.

Subtract. As a buyer, I have no idea if you knew what you were doing and the quality of the work. Then when the tablet dies...WTF am I supposed to do then? I have been through too many used cars with user installed stereo systems and cringe when I see cables run under the trunk liners, power cables left dangling in the trunk live with bare copper exposed, or some real cheeseball taps/splices that just make for painful troubleshooting down the road.

Ultimately, i guess it'd depend on the buyer. Someone in the know would argue that (if done properly) this 'adds' value.

Some data points for your pricing charts

Dealer obviously playing on rarity of MT but I bought a similar car 06, but more desirable black interior (IMHO) and ASPEC kit, 1 owner, all maintenance up to date plus he swapped out MT fluid with 10k miles less and for >$4000 less. Always hand washed.

I did also swoop in and pick up KBP TLS MT this year similar miles and for less than this car. Long story short prices all over map on these MT and like was said it will sell for whatever the buyer and seller can agree on.

Apologies for not responding sooner. I have not had the car on the road much as it is a 3rd car, but looking at the records from the original owner, TB and components done at 164,xxx, new brakes and rotors at 192,xxx, regular oil changes and transmission services, control arms, etc....done at 122,xxx.

I expect do another oil changes, trans service, tire rotation, state inspection in a few weeks at a local Honda indy garage. Still deciding if I want to keep her or not......Coming my a 03 MT Camry, the fun and fuel economy and size are not the same with the TLS, but it is fancier!

I have not spend dime one on the car since buying it, but I also have not driven the car a whole bunch either.

Got pretty lucky with mine, but paid $6300 cash for a 2008 NBP Acura TL Type S 5AT with 108k miles in Houston, TX- pretty well maintained, had records for the 105k maintenance, transmission fluid changes, rotor/pad change 20k miles ago.

lol and I am still not yet done to restore the car back to original condition lol. as far as for bucking, probably get air in the clutch line system.
