AVB for President!
I got that beat... $2320 for 6 months.. And that's just for the TL, period. Obviously I'm considered to be in the highest risk category:
1. Male
2. Young
3. Inexperienced (got my license 10 days before I bought the car)
4. Lives in Bay Area, California

Keep Right Except to Pass
Asking what people pay is not really a fair question because there are tons of variables--driving record, your age, your sex, what color you are, how many miles a year you drive, whether you have other insurance coverage placed with the same carrier, etc.
With that said, I pay about $73 a month with State Farm. I have comprehensive with no deductible, collision/$250 deductible, and the rental reimbursement (the latter is minimal cost). The limits of liability on my policy are well above the statutory minimums, but I do get discounts for having two cars on the policy and for having multiple lines of coverage (homeowner's and umbrella). Don't want to jinx myself by noting my other major discount!

Younger people- CALL STATE FARM !!!
Yes, State Farm has THE BEST rates in the industry for younger drivers...
I'm paying $708 every 6mo... 1416/yr with 300/300/300 coverage.
Seriously, call your local state farm agent. If they can't save you money, I'll pay your insurance premium... <haha, ya right> ;-)

$60 a month through Travelers on my '97 TL, full coverage, 100,000/300,000 but $1000 deductible, yikes. Single rates, great driving record out of Wisconsin.

You could be like one of my buddies that puts his car under his 75 year old dad for nothing. Only catch is the car isnt in his name.

I pay $532 every 6 mo. with USAA.
Bodily Injury (to others): $100k/$300k
Property Damage (to others): $50k
Un-insured Bodily Injury (me+pass): $100k/$300k
Bodily Injury (me+pass): $5,000/person
Comp: $350 deductable
Collision: $500 deductable
Rental Reimbursement: $30/day
... Speaking of which, I should probably look at including coverage due to uninsured motorists for property damage.

Also recommend Progressive for the younger crowd and those w points. Had them until I turned 25 (28 now) and they were by far the lowest I could find at the time. Currently with Amica.

Not a slam, just wouldn't happen with my kids.
I am surprised at the cost of insurance for most of you here... I have never spent over $1100 a year for any vehicle owned.. I have however always had two vehicles ever since paying for my own insurance at 18 years old... Even my Corvettes were about $1000 a year. Insurance rates are just terrible in many states/cities etc...
