call around to different insurance companies and ask them. they'll be able to tell you right away.
15 minutes can save you 15% or more on car insurance.

for real though. the insurance companies look at other things as weel, are you married, hows your credit. How long you have been with the company. I have been with mine for 7 years and I pay 135 for two cars full coverage with a 250 deductible. I have a reckless driving ticket, 3 speeding tickets. A "at fault single car wreck". total cost depends on a bunch of factors that the Insurance comapny wants to use.

i am paying like 500 and change for full coverage for a 2006 tl 6mt. 500 deductible. i am single, finished school, been with them since I was 16. good credit. countless speeding tickets. that 500 is every 6 months though. not bad. and when i hit the big 25 it should go down.

As stated above, location, driving history, age, marital status, additional vehicles on policy, combined home insurance with the same insurer, etc, plays a huge role on the quote.
The past two years between ages 26-28, being both single and recently married, without any accidents, having at least 2 vehicles on one policy, and a 500 deductible, my past 5 cars to include my 07 TL-S was around $65/month.

The other thing not mentioned above is what sort of coverage you are looking for. As you amass more assets you will want to have more coverage to keep yourself protected. I paid $721 for this year's coverage but have moved coverage up over the years. Also received a 3% discount for paying in full at the beginning of the policy instead of monthly or semi-annually.

you're 23 and a guy= arm and leg, if you're in a major metro area...add another arm. tix and accidents...get a civic.
but really, it depends on tix, accidents, your history with the company, add'l cars/policies, married? etc...first time i've ever heard that my credit had anything to do with my car insurance. damn, then mine should be really cheap compared to what it is now.
anyone living in CA...you're screwed.

You guys got it good in the States. Here in BC, I pay $260 per month for full coverage with $300 deductibles (20 y.o.) Even with 20 years claims free (highest possible discount), you`d still pay around $150 per month. Only plus side is that tickets don`t affect your insurance premiums here, only at-fault accidents.

I just switched to traveler's myself. Had Allstate and looked for an alternative when I picked up the little Miata. For both cars full coverage (and better liability) it is 1900/yr. No tickets/accidents. I was paying closer to 2500 with Allstate just for my TL.

If you have family with Geico insurance, you can get a discount (I did). I also have a clean driving record, and immaculate credit for a 22 year old.
Things that change insurance premiums:
1. Age (25 is considered an "experienced" driver)
2. Previous infractions
3. Where the car is located (closer to the city = more likely to get into an accident, so they hike your premium).
4. Credit history
5. Worth of the car (year, mileage, condition, etc.)
There are some other smaller factors, but those are the big players.

That's not entirely true . I live in a large metropolitan city/area and my insurance is 125/mth (roughly $750/6mths) for full coverage with a $250 deductible, (i'll soon be 23). I've owned TL's since I was 19, and lived in San Jose, CA and my insurance was about the same there too.

for 22, you don't have enough years to have a complete credit history (besides CC, add various loans-auto, home or student that's a credit history)you're still in development for it. charleston, SC is a metro area, but not a huge metro area like NYC or LA or DC. so really, its not much of a comparison. you've owned TLs...your rate may have not changed from CA to SC if you upgraded from a 2G to a 3G (you didn't say which ones you had). its all relative and individual which will dictate rates.
the other things insurance takes into account are distance of commute, at risk type of car (high theft/ sports car/ SUV/sedan), the driver experience depends on when the driver acquired a license. not all "experienced" 25 yrs have been driving since 16. many teens are now waiting until they are 18 or so. even then...risky behavior most likely decreases after 25, though there are still plenty of stupid drivers out there.

1. Charleston not be a huge city, but San Jose is in the top 10 biggest cities in the United States.
2. I upgraded from a 2004 NBP TL 6MT, both completely in my name.
3. I have two auto loans, a furniture loan, multiple CC`s, and a 2400sq foot townhouse all solely in my name. My credit is far from underestablished :-).
Other than the other factors you listed that insurance companies look for, you really hevent told me anything =-O.
P.S.- San Jose is the heart of the bay area :-).
P.P.S.- i worked for everything i have, by myself.

I also get a discount for being a AAA member. Not sure if this is universal or not but something folks should look into.

I'm in NJ. enough said.
i just switched my insurance because i finally realized I was being railed.
I was paying $2600/yr. yes. $2600/yr.
that's with no accidents, good credit and being with my insurer for 12 years. My car was flooded in the hurricane but that price was before the flood. Go figure.
I just switched to another company and dropped it down to $1500/yr or $160/month.
What really got me is, i was with the company for 12 years and I call up to cancel my policy and all i got was "ok, i'll put that through". That's it? after 12 years? whatever.

You're going to have to shop around. It really depends on where you live. That same car will be a lot more expensive to insure in NJ than it would be in OH.
I ended up paying about $10 more per 6 months for my 08 TL than for an 04 I35. It really didn't go up at all. But I was 35 at the time.

I pay a little under $400 for both my cars(TL-s & '87 Grand National) full coverage on both and both with a 500 deductible. My bike i pay little over 400 with no collision coverage and 500 deductible on comprehensive.
No tickets and real good credit with progressive.

Here is my information if it helps at all:
I am 31, live in the Chicago suburbs, relatively clean driving record with a few tickets here and there, but no accidents ever. Credit score near 800 and I am married with a daughter. I have an 07 TLS MT and pay $271.60 every 6mo for just the TLS (or $45 a mo). Together with my wifes 04 accord and my TLS we pay $440.10 every 6mo ($74 a mo for both cars). Insurance is dirt cheap if your married and older :-)
We use Geico and they have been great. Excellent prices and customer service. The one time I needed to use them was when a huge rock in the road blew a tire and bent my rim on my 08 Grand Cherokee SRT8. Guy came out and used all dealership OEM prices and cut me a check on the spot that day. Awesome!!!
