I am a big DIYer and I spend careful. I am working on some big mods for the next couple weeks so after that's done I'll figure 5-6k all in by then. I won't be spending that much more besides maintence after I'm done. I don't wanna spend so much on a car I'll be keeping <5yrs.

As for other people not having spent what they claim, I can assure you it's easy to get these "outrageous" numbers people are claiming. I just added up my mods, and it came to just under $7,200...60% of that is rims and tires, though. Regardless, if I had Pro-Cats, SC, Tein SS, BBK, a system, and an assortment of piddly things (as many here do), it would easily be over $20k.
Oh, and without a doubt, Jammin's car is hot and easily has over $25k in it. And knowing him, he's not done, either. Not everyone has to post a million pics of their car and gush about how much they've spent. Reminds me of that commercial for the Ford Escape Hybrid where the the daughter asks her father how come he never talked about how he drove a hybrid and he responds he didn't know he had to talk about it.

A-Spec front lip - 325$ installed by me.
OEM TL Floor Mats - 125$ shipped

My friend invested over 150,000 in a 97 Civic Coupe . Now thats crazy !!! But he won every show till the car was basically played out, best of show, 1st wild, best interior, best stereo, best Honda, Best display, etc etc etc 70+ trophies & is well known in the show scene . An old guy offered him 120k at a show for the car cause his wife liked it better than the Porsche he was gonna get her , ahha, not to mention was faster.. He didnt take it, trying to get the guy to go higher & the guy walked ha . He'd slap himself now ha .. The car is for sale & just sits as a shell & full carbon interior w a 15in in dash lcd . 8000k :p .. ha . He's got at least 80k in a RHD SR20 widebody 240 now ..
