How many ppl have been pulled over in their TL's?

I have seen a few TL's pulled over on the side of the road, I was wondering how many of you have been hit by the radar? Are TL's cop attractions?

Three month temporary registration? Wow... we only get 30 days. It must take your state FOREVER to get their titlework done if they feel they have to give you that much time. Bummer.

Got pulled over for doing 68 in a 55. I had my scrub top on, so the cop realized I worked in a hospital. He said he felt it was bad kharma to ticket health care workers in case he was ever brought into the ER some night.

Got pulled over two weeks ago - about 3 months into TL ownership. DAMN! - First ticket in 5 years I recall. I don't think the TL is a cop magnet, but the TL does gather speed easily. I squeaked through some lameasses blocking all lanes doing like 60 and right afterwards I was flying up on an unmarked doing probably 80. He must have been watching his mirrors as he immediately (I never passed him) slammed his brakes and ducked in behind me. Those unmarked dark CrownVics aren't so easy to see at night. Anyway, I was cool, he was cool and wrote me up for 56mph. Cheaper ticket, although the insurance crap will still hurt (no traffic school in state of CT).

They probably knew that the unmarked was up there.

I agree, I was doin 85 and there was an old brown pick up truck to my right doin about the same, The cop on a motorcycle caught up to me and got on my ass and stayed behind me for a minute. As I waited for the lights to go on he then decided to get into the right lane and he pulled over the brown pick up, I was so busted but I had Cerritos Acura on my license plate instead of an actual plate and i think thats why he didn't want to deal with it.

What part of mahopac you from? I don't live close by, but i might be coming there often since my parents bought a deli/pizzaria in Peekskill, right near mahopac. One my way to there and back homne, i am always driving 80, i just hope i dont get puleld over, especially at this age. I see 1-2 people pulled over on the highway on my way there and back. I dont know how fast they might have been going. They should raise the spped limit to 80, since its such a huge highway, and hardly ever has many cars on it.

I end up going 60mph on the secluded curvy roads, feels so great doing it. I doubt, or at least hope, theres no cops there; it wouldn't make sense for them to be there since the road is small and i have yet to see a car drive by me there.

I got pulled over last year when I was driving to the hospital to see an emergency stroke patient. Road was empty I was doing 40 in a 25 right where it joined the freeway. I managed to get out of it by showing my ID and explaining the situation.

I've never gotten a ticket in my life, but I'm doomed to get one in this car. It really makes you feel like you're doing 55 when you're actually doing 75 (or more ). I've been lucky so far...

Kansas city to Tampa Fl trip 3000 mi. Numerous close calls but my Bel 980 came thru again. Illinois state troopers are very sneaky. The real scare was in Georgia.. damn laser... was doing 10 over but he didn't come after me.

Never pulled over yet, cops here in Fontana are pretty easy going. But i do agree that the car just begs to go faster when i wanna drive going the "speed limit".

Err, I bought my 2004 330i in September and I have yet to put my plates on. I did order personalized plates though and I picked them up at DMV last week.

I did get a "parking after 2000 hrs on Mulholland Dr." ticket by a park ranger! I was being VERY passive agressive. I made him work for that $60.00 ticket!

Entered the intersection as the light was turning red, along with a second car. I asked him why he pulled me over. "I liked your car more and wanted to get an up close look", the officer said.

roflmao! Good one gbriank.

Not had an issue as of yet with the TL, but driving up 202 near the King of Prussia Mall gives me an advantage... I could be going 85 (in a 55) and there will still be at least a dozen cars passing me like I was standing still.

Besides, the cops out here looooove to go after the ricers and wannabes in their BMWs (we have the "poor rich kid" syndrome out here something fierce).

HA I like the cop pulling you over because he liked your car, just can't believe he actually told you that, did you get the ticket?

*IF* the ticket was written for a speed amount different than you were going - the ENTIRE Ticket in Invalidated because it is not an accurate account of what actually happened.

If ya go to court - and tell the judge the cop wrote the ticket for a speed you were NOT going (dont tell him how fast you were going) and LEGALLY the ticket is invalidated.

(( Dont know what that would do to your future Karma and what not though ))

Hope it Helps

lmao...

it could be worse, it could be Wayne, PA

They have these little main liners with no lives who just walk around and write tickets for the local township. Anyway, they have this irritating habit of writing tickets when the parking meter still has time on it.

Gotta love dishonesty...

I don't think that the TL is a cop magnet. I've been pulled over but it had nothing to do with the model of the car I was driving.

Well I'm going to find out today. At midnight I leave on a 1000 mile trip. Even though I always drive with the lights on, I'm thinking I'll turn them off during the day so I don't attract any extra attention.

I hear you. I had them pull the ticket since the copy I received was so light I couldn't read it. Turns out he wrote up the whole thing on the ticket (was going faster than flow of traffic - estimated at north of 75 (in a 55)) but he didn't write in the speed in the speed "box". Ultimately, it is his word against mine and only if he doesn't show up would I win. Since I'm getting off about $250 or so lighter on this one, I decided not to fight it - usually I would.

Watch them commi bastards closely! :hitler:

2nd- street racing
3rd- no headlights/illegal u-turn/no licence
4th- exibition of speed (the three cops thought my car sounded loud so they wrote me a speeding ticket)
5th- speeding

I received tickets for all but the street racing one
