Is it possible to mix blue and white to get a mostly white light with a blue cast to it? I love the blue but the above pictures make it look a little too much blue.

I do love the blue that comes from the console next to the dome lights in the front (the standard stock setup that is), I just want this mod to be subtle.

I would like some opinions for LEDs in for the license plate blubs. Im going to purchase from superbrightleds.com and wondering if WLED 6-LED or the 921 9-LED Wedge Base LED is better for the license plate. I hear that the 9-LED is slightly brighter but im afraid its gonna to be too bright and the 6-LED too dim. I know the 6-LED will fit in the license plate but will the 9-LED fit too with out trouble?? I dont know which to pick!

well. i bought the 9 led for the license plate, and its okay, but the bulbs seem too big. It is fairly dim. and if you look up at where they shine only 4 or 5 of them are shining out. I was thinking about gettin one big bulb instead.

The 6LED are too dim....I bought the 9LED and the fit fine and they are a little more bright.

Try this...You are looking for a 921 Wedge LED. Its the second from the bottom
and the 6 LED Wedge Base Bulbs are the second from the top...IMO I would go with all 9led...I have 9LED and I think they are almost too dim/

They fit fine...believe me I have had them in there for 4 months...the only thing is you can see only maybe 5 of the LED's instead of 9, but it still has more light than the 6LEDS. That is all I can think of when he says they are too big.

Whats the point of getting the 9LED if the only 5 shows and the other 4 is hidden?

Because overall they do provide more light than the 6 leds....just because half the led is covered doesn't mean that its not providing light.

I'm planning to keep my pre-existing lights as they are. But looking to add a couple more locations. Any help would be appreciated.

1 - The current RL has blue LEDs that come on/fade in and out with the dome lighting by the feet. Anyone done an install like this? Anyone know of any hardware that could be done to accomplish this, or what circuit these lights would need to be tied to so they don't necessarily have to stay on all the time?

2 - Hear me out with this one. I have a friend who's buddy works in a metal cutting shop who works with lasers. I'm looking to see where I might be able to get another stock shift knob (6MT). My plan - etch out the shift diagram and then snake a LED to inside the hollow shifter (is it hollow?) and have it with not an overpowing, but a glowing blue diagram... i've talked it over with the metal guy and a couple car friends or mine who end up changing their pants at the end. What say you?

3 - Completely unrelated. But does the damn light in the center console ever turn off? I've opened the bottom section of the console a few times after driving for a while and the bulb cover is HOT. Is this normal? Any way to moderate it if it is?


Well I guess that's enough for now. While I've been viewing the forum for a while now and thanks to the likes of bysin/byson(sp?)/whoever else I've modded the nav, etc, but I did try to look for these questions already and found nothing. So yea, don't kill the new guy.

I have four 9 inch blue neon light on my floor. They are up under the drivers feet, passanger floor, and across the back floor. All the wires run up into the center console and go into the outlet.

Also I just ordered the door and doom LED's, so they will be in on tuesday.

I bought the 4th and 5th ones down the page. I hope those were the right ones I ordered 4 of the T13 Wedge Base LED bulb for the doom lights and ordered 2 of the 921 Wedge Base LED bulb for the doors. Mine should be in the come in the mail tomorrow, I can't wait to put them in.

Ill post a pic of my floor neons and the door LED's together.

I just got home from school and they arrived. I ordered them Thursday night and they were shipped Friday. But the mail did not come on sunday and Monday for holidays. So it is 3 days shipping to Michigan. Iam just looking on there again for the instuctions to them in, and iam goin to put mine in.

I installed mine today, and they look awsome. They look kinda better in person then the picture. The LED's go great with my floor neon lights too. The only hard part about the LED's are getting the stock light bulbs out. The stock ones are small and are also put in small places in the doom lights. But ones you get the lights out, you are done, and it looks great.

Awsome mod, And it looks kinda stock with the TL's because of all the other blue in the car.

I just wanted to say thanks to the first person who made this thread because of the detailed pictures. They were very helpful and very easy to follow. Thanks, Also the duck tape around the light bulb helped in the doom lights.

just installed the 9 led whites in the domes and the blues in the doors. The lights are brighter in the back domes then the fronts since the backs fire directly down. Is there a way to angle the fronts down without actually damaging the housing? Also thinking of swapping out the blue door lights to the whites since I find the blues to be too blue!

man... i just replaced 2 front dome, 2 rear dome and 2 door lights.. all 9 LED
it's beautiful now..
but front 2 dome bulbs were really hard to pull out... i was afraid if i would've break the bulb... that would've been really really bad..
but yea... it looks beautiful!

Anyone know what the right bulb is for the glove box and center console. I'd like to do those in blue and I read that some bulbs don't fit in the housing.
