HOw the hell?!?!
Just out of curiousity, perhaps a newb question.. but how do you ppl manage to have all these races on the highway??!? I cant go 5 miles on a Texas highway without seeing a cop! Are there not police in the north or something? And if im going 120 thats not enough time for my radar to protect me for me to stop is it?? Oh well...
Just wondering.

Missing my Acura's
I have heard that the cops down south dont play. Up here they are out there but few and far between, You gotta know where they hang out at they are very predictable most times.

in jersey there are certain highways that its impossible for cops to hide because theres no room example: NJ Turnpike, parts of the Garden State parkway, 280 theres never any cops for some reason...but then you have 287 which is all land and cops just hid in the bushes. so tis all about where u live and you gotta know the spots

I understand the Beltway though... Hehe.

yea well actually houston is a blast. I was just there last weekend, I saw a SLR Mclaren btw, just driving around in Rice village, going 30 lol. But oh well. But yea on 59 and the beltway you can go 80 over and the cops wont care, mostly because HPD have better things to do. And everyone speeds. Apparently there is a biker gang with yamaha yzf r1 that go 180 down 59. Friggin nuts, 180 on a bike!! But newho I live in San Antonio and the most we have are 3 lane highways, not the 8 lane monsters in Houston. And SAPD arent nearly as cool. Right now I am in College Station and I just joined a racing club. Apparently we have rights to an abandoned air field so that should be fun!

I raced a car at 6 AM straight through Alligator Alley (100 miles) of highway through the everglades. We were both going 120 the entire way for about 45 minutes or something like that...burned almost my entire tank doing that shit...funniest shit ever. Went through again at like 5 in the afternoon...got a ticket for going 90...I guess it all depends on where you are and what time of day it is.

ha my normal speed on the beltway is about 90 at times up to around 110 i love driving it because people are courteous and will move out of the lane and let you pass, 6-10 the only time i speed is when im messing around with someone and 45 there are just never any cops on most of the strech i drive so it's mainly 80-85 on there.. how often do you come into houston? or did you move out of houston to UTSA?

Safety Car
The roads I travel the most are always populated with police.
Up and down 290 (but gets better North bound beyond the Beltway)
I-10 West inside the loop <--- Death trap
I-45 (South of I-10 all the way to Fuqua)
Got quite a few tickets to prove it.
