How do you remove the bins below the radio and above the shifter in 04-05 TL?
Can someone please give me instructions on how to remove one or both of the storage bins below the radio and above the shifter in the center console?
To see what I am talking about go to, they are the small bins within the red circle that open up.

Thanks in advance.

Here is a link which shows the bins, #10 and #11, and the components of the center console.

The rear part of the center console has to come out, then the dashboard lower cover, then the glove box housing, and then the center console panel, which holds the bins, must be removed.
The instructions are contained in at least 4 different pages of the service manual, and I don’t believe it is an easy process.
If you are going to do things like this, I suggest you invest in the Service Manual. The prices and address for Helm, Inc, are in the back of the owners manual.

storage doors, interior console

I am curious about why you would want to remove the small storage doors fore of the shifter. Is it to be a permanent change?
I have a plan for installing a round analog clock in the upper door. After removing the door, I'll drill a hole in it the size of the body of the clock (but smaller than the diameter of the outer bezel). I'll replace the door so that it will still function as before, then insert the clock into the door.
So I am interested in finding out if you find an easy way to remove the doors. I've researched the service manual, and I agree with other posts: it appears that you will need to remove a LOT of console/dashboard material.
In the meantime: what is your purpose for the door removal?
