Performance Parts and Modifications... Sounds like it's specifically for performance modifications. I am just surprised there is not an interior/exterior sub-forum.

Mods? What Mods?

I always thought is was because nobody here does modifications. These guys are really, really conservative.

(Between you and me, I think most of these guys are accountants - no style and no personality - but please, please, please, keep that just between us).

I know you new guys don't like to hear it...but search is your friend. Searching gets you the answers to your questions faster than waiting for a chance answer by another member. Tons of info here from people who came before you with the same questions.

As for the original question, it would be redundant. Really.

Upon further review.. every post but a couple on the first page of that sub-forum is performance related.

There two that aren't;
"Aftermarket hoods"
"Has anyone done just an A-Spec front lip?"

were both moved to the "Third Generation TL (2004+)" main forum area where this thread is posted.

I am not some car forum noob. I have been using other forums for years. I understand that I only have a couple posts so the immediate reaction to any thread I start or post I make is , but that does that mean I can't make new threads? If every question I have asked has been answered.. then we should all just search and not post?

As for being redundant.. I disagree. Maybe very little people on this forum mod the interior/exterior of their car?

blunt3d, welcome to the forums. We do have subforums for exterior/interior mods- they're just not called that per se. The Tires/Wheels/Suspension subforum caters to the exterior mods. Read the Rules for this subforum and should answer alot of questions- https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109959

As far as interior mods are concerned- https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/17-oem-cl-type-s-rims-sale-145820/.

Some of the other members are correct in that there is a huge amount of info here if you do a search.

thanks for the helpful reply ggesq.

So If I want to make a thread about an exterior mod (spoiler, body-kit, tail lights, etc) it belongs in the Tires/Wheels/Suspension sub-forum?

And interior mods, (seat covers, panel painting, shift knobs etc) belong in the Audio/Bluetooth/Electronics/Navigation sub-forum?

I guess you are being witty and really know that both of your examples above belong in the main 3G Forum.

We are not contemplating any additional subforums; even though other car forums may have them we feel we have enough for our purposes.

It is hard enough to get people to use the subforums we have without adding more.

There is a good explanation of what belongs in the Performance Parts & Modifications subforum in the announcement at the top of that forum's first page, which ggesq provided the link to. Everything else either goes in one of the other applicable subforums, which are virtually self-explanatory, or the main 3G forum.

What are you talking about?

I wasn't trying to be "witty" and I didn't know they both belong in the main forum. seriously, are you on drugs or having a bad day? Take a look at ggesq's post, that is where s/he told me to post interior or exterior mod related topics.

Why are you taking my question as an attack? seriously, is this how you run this forum? You need to check your attitude.

Yup...my ass would still be pushing that 80's Chevette if it wasn't for young'un!

Yo Blunted, you can't be sensitive up in this joint man. Somebody is bound to piss you off in a public forum. You say you a vet so you know that's what's up.

What kind of ride you got anyway? Fuck it if you roll NBP, you the shit anyway, so get in where ya fit in!

But if you got a weak-ass WDP...it's on dawg!! Hahhahaha!

Guess I'm just not used to getting treated like a noob :P

anyways, I have a mazda3.. my dad just got a new TL (Royal Blue) though, so I thought I would check this forum out and see what I could learn. He's not really into modding at all, I think all he is going to get is a remote starter, lip spoiler, chrome wheels , and tint.

You think your dad will let you mod it? If so, we can hook that joint up!!

Check out Stella for some ideas bro:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=167003

https://acurazine.com/forums/ramblings-12/im-famous-now-159767/

and keep it real with the grille:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=154841

Some good ideas for that "almost" NBP!

darksom1, I really like your grill. I usually don't like open mouth style grilles (never seen one I liked better than the stocker on a mazda3) but yours looks fantastic.

Thanks man...but yeah, I don't think your dad will let you go that route, as it involves actually cutting the bar on the bumper cover (TL's grille is not replaceable, once it's cut - it's done!).

If you read my previous post- I stated that those subforums "cater" to interior/exterior mods. I never said that they were all inclusive and that ALL interior/exterior mod inquiries ABSOLUTELY belong in those two subforums. You obviously "searched" and found that the mods moved two threads out of the subforums and INTO the main forum.

So......

From a logical standpoint- your two "witty" questions (as far as mods are concerned) belong in the the main forum. I believe Ron A has already answered your question in regards to that.

You claim that your not a noob to car forums which is great. We look forward to reading more insightful threads, receiving your helpful input and advice on various issues.

BTW- Ron A is one of the most helpful members on this site in addition to being part of administration. Nothing in his reply indicated a bad attitude on his part or warranted you telling him to "check his attitude." Relax - and once again- welcome to the forums!
