how to clear headlight lenses?

how to clear headlight lenses?

Can anyone tell me how to clear our headlight lenses or do we have to purchase new lenses period.. is there a method? thanks guys..

you have to put them in the oven, not sure off hand what you need to take off but you need to head up the sealant that holds the light together. 15 minutes at 250*?

You DO have to bake them in the oven. Remove them from the car. Put them in the oven individually for 20 minutes at 200 degrees. Then you can separate the clear lens from the headlight assembly. Then you can do anything you want to the headlights....like this-

You have to do it yourself unless you buy ones that someone else has baked

There are several DIY threads that have very good instructions

go to JNC or dyi. i did it myself not too bad. take off the front bumper, then remove headlight, then bake. i did mine at 350 for 20 min. no preheat. then seal it up good! so no moisture comes in. good luck.

If you do try this yourself take extra time to ensure good seal. I did mine a few years ago and some water finally started to creep in. Annoying but I can live with it for now

what sealant do you guys use to reseal them?
do you put them directly on the oven rack... or any suggestions?
