Look for a product called Never Dull.

takes 2 minutes to use

My exhaust tips still look like new after 1 yr

I forget the name of the product, but you can get a liquid that is advertised as a chimney soot cleaner. You put that on the tips, and the black stuff basically falls right off, leaving your tips all shiny without any elbow grease.

I'm interested in a common household item that might clean it? instead of keep buying cleaner for every surface of my ride.

where you buy it from, autozone, pepboys, walmart. which section will it be in? near tire, wheel cleaners? is it a spray, paste? what color is the container?

I believe I bought it from an auto supply store. (The stuff lasts forever - I have not had to buy another in over a yr) It comes in a tin container - its cheap, it is a cotton sort of looking stuff - u just tear off a piece and wipe the stainless steel tips w/o effort, and come back w/ a cloth and wipe off the white film - and u r done - stays like new

I try to do it w/ every car wash or every other

I believe it is easier to keep em clean in the 1st place instead of waiting til they are nasty

The tips on my mdx are better (looking) the whole tip is stainless.

not just the outer wrapping kind of stainless on the Tl

http://www.dealtime.com/xPF-Never_Dull_Metal_Polish

Never Dull Metal Polish consists of a unique non-scratching wadding impregnated with a special polishing solution. It is perfect for cleaning and polishing brass, aluminum, nickel, pewter, silver, copper, steel, chromium, zinc, and gold. It safely removes rust, tarnish, fingerprints, and more. wax & rubbing compound

about $5 to answer the guy who doesn't want to buy something for every surface - about 1 of the cheapest cleaning supplies for my car

Not too much help but I saw it at Canadian Tire in.. Polish & wax section. I believe its a paste and ... black(this I am only 10% sure). It's a little tiny can

$5 sounds about right. I'm still not convinced in idea of keeping multiple agents. I have basic wax and tire black spray, that's all.

This is what I bought:

Nevr Dull

Got it at Pep Boys for around 4-5 bucks. It's in the wax aisle near all the cleaners (tires, etc..)

I use the same stuff I use the clean our stainless pots and pans, it is called Bar Keepers Friend. Very similar to Comet but works better.

yeah i hope it works, i am going to get some for my CT mufflers, the tips have an ugly brownish tint on them that i can't get off. It would be nice to see that stainless steel shine again.

I've heard oven cleaner works pretty good. My boyfriend uses it on his Lightning, and he's really a.r, so it must work and not cause any damage to the pipes.

Thanks for the pics NFLblitze1, looks like something to do this weekend. Not sure if your last photo was intentional or not to include the Never Dull, but thats a great photo.

I use metal cleaner - Meguiar's, Eagle, there are tons of them. They usually consist of an ammoniated cleaner with a silicone additive to resist corrosion. Have used them on the titanium exhaust on the S2000 and other SS pipes for many years.

There is a German product called Wenol that is also excellent.

These cleaners will cut through any combustion by-product, and remove tons of dirt on an apprently "clean" pipe.

Yeah, great stuff ... it does wonders. With regular upkeep, they are a breeze to shine up. I have been using this stuff on my Harley for years!

Great tip!
