Houston!

If I can get a good price on an 06 then I'll purchase rather than an 07. Went to Sterling McCall Acura last night and didnt see any black on black w/ navi on their lot. I couldnt even find antracite/black navi. What are yall paying for your TLs and where did you get them OTD. thanks

I bought a '06 w/navi from Bob Read at Gillman Acura on I-45N, out the door with lip spoiler, wheel locks and dent/ding warranty, OTD was about $35900. From what I have read this seems pretty reasonable. He quoted a $32999 sales price w/ no acces.

PM me is you want more detail, I can say that they are a great dealership to work with!

Gillman was one of the places I went to back when I was in the market. However, my experienced with the sales staff bordered on the obscene. Perhaps it the salesman, perhaps it was myself – either way, when I left the lot, I left determined to avoid any other Gillman dealership for any transaction.

What agitated me was the perceived lack of respect from the salesman. To the best of my ability I tried to present what I was looking for in an upfront and open manner. However, when I was told they could only go “slightly below” the national average selling price at the time of ~$34,600 for a WDP w/Navi (figure courtesy of MSN) I began to question them.

When I pushed the price I was treated to the Ballard of misery (free of charge!) of the salesman life, his bad back, miserable kids and disgruntled wife. He then went on to berate me for asking an “unfair” price (if memory serves, I believe I offered $33,000) and how that “buyers were liars” (yes! That’s an exact quote).

He than told me to write what I was willing to offer and sign below the number (this was on a sheet of blank printer paper with nothing else) and then he’d see if they could somehow manage to swing that deal. He then went on to tell me this was a binding agreement and that once I did it – and it was accepted – I was committed.

When I started to hesitate he proceeded to hand me a Honda credit application and told me to complete it and sign it. Well, this seemed slightly more formal (and legally binding) then the blank sheet with “33000” scrawled on it. Again, he proceeded to tell me how unfair it was that customers come in and waste time of sales staff who would otherwise be busy assisting other potential buyers (this was around 11am on a Thursday and the sales floor was rather sparsely populated).

By this time I had enjoyed enough of Gillman’s ‘service’, got up, thanked the salesman for his time and walked out.

Drove straight down to Sterling McCall Acura (59 South / Beltway 8) and got a happy, straightforward salesman. Gave me the price I wanted and I drove away in a new TL later that day .

Just one persons experience. Hope it helps and good luck!

Try John Eagle Acura, ask for Bryan (internet manager). He'll give you a no hassle quote.

Carey Rodgers works at John Eagle and told me a OTD price of $34,373.85 , Gillman was a couple hundred less than that. I know people in Houston have been getting their TLs with navi cheaper than that. Sterling McCall never even bothered to send me a request.

Houston's not like So Cal where you can get a TL w/ nav for around $31,***.

I got my TL w/ nav for about 33k +TTl with a tint, wheel locks, all season floor mats, trunk tray and CF interior kit (for messing me around).

Mind you I got my TL about 4 months ago. With the new 07 coming soon they should start slashing prices.
