Homelink Universal Transceiver

Anyone out there having problems training your garage door opener (GDO) to your Homelink Universal Transceiver (HUT)? I followed the instructions in my owner's manual for both, Basic Training & Training with a Rolling Code System, to no avail.
I own a 2006 TL w/Nav system. My GDO is a brand new Overhead Door PowerMax XL 4060 model. According to the HUT website, the Overhead Door GDO is compatible with the HUT system on my TL.
Is there something I'm missing that the owner's manual is not telling me? Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

try clearing all of the previous codes by pressing the 1 and 3 dotted buttons. for about 30 seconds. Then push the 1 dot button and the garage opener at the same time until the light starts blinking slowly. (dotted buttons are the three homelink buttons)

I had tried all your suggestions pior to my inquiry without success, but being that I'm never satisfied until I get what want :-) I finally found out what the problem was and would like to share the solution with everyone for future reference.
I went to my Overhead Door GDO manual and found out that the receiver recognizes 2 signals: 315 and 390 MHZ. The GDO remotes are factory preset at 315 so you have to change the frequency selector to 390 (the remotes have a small sliding switch to do that).
With the frequency at 390 MHZ, I went through the Basic Learning process and the red indicator lights confirmed that I had a Rolling Code System GDO (which I already suspected). I followed the instructions for Training with a Rolling Code System and voila! I'm up and running. Again, thanks to everyone for answering my inquiry. Hi, I had the same problem programming mine but it was a stupid
mistake on my end. I pressed the homelink button instead of holding
it down for a few seconds and that made all the difference. Try that,
it should solve the problem.

Just wanted to let everyone know, I just got this opener and NBAST TL is right. Watch the learn light and just tap the Homelink button until the light goes on and off again. I ahd to tap 4 times to program. This forum gave me my 2 minute answer after 45 aggravating minutes.
