Note the relatively cheap price of the 3G sway with respect to the 2g and older stuff.... Tube is harder to work with than solid material, and there are other secondary operations needed, increasing the cost??? I'm surmising here...
Bottom line, I think the sway we have for the 3G is good to go and is SOLID. It could only rust on the exterior (like everything else under your car!)

I never knew that comptech sways were HOLLOW. i know Hotchkis makes really good sway and they are hollow. But i contacted them about making one for TL and they said not now.
But i never knew comptech had poor quality parts. news to me. ALSO... how did that bar RUST from the inside out. UNLESS there is a hole somewhere to let the moisture in.
TEIN also had problems of rusting a year or so ago. not sure if they started coating their coilovers with rust proofing.

do your homework.
the original springs made by comptech were not made by Eibach, hence the spring issue at that time.
all rear swaybars are solid steel. the pic in that one thread is a front swaybar, and i was not aware that Comptech made a front swaybar for 3g tl.
currently their is nothing wrong with Comptech springs or rear swaybar.
