Your gonna need alot more than that if you hit a deer traveling at more than 65mph. Will go under Comprehensive Insurance.

Hope you are OK.

Also, hope you've got Comp, not just liability.

If so, you know what they say, "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade."

Take advanatage and black out new headlights and customize the grill while it's under repair.

Imo it looks like you hit the back end of a truck that has its spare mounted on its trunk, but I can see rust, so it looks like you probably washed off that blood.

Any way, is your radiator damaged, it looks as if it might have been?

Did your airbags get released?

And wow, there are a lot of scuff marks on the sidewall of that tire, on the outer most part.

There's no rust - it's specs of blood. There's a lot of hair and for some reason deer shit. I never washed the car. That's as is.

The shit is just a way of deer saying " I was here" j/k

Glad to see that you are ok, dont go by the visible damage alone being that it is a front end collision check with a reputable body shop to get an estimate.

If I ever hit a deer I'd probably get out of the car and start kicking its ass, that's how pissed I would be.

ok aside from the cosmetics you've listed, you will most likely need a new radiator, radiator support, fan, and all the labor involved

you are looking at $12k (acura tl = no cheap fixes)

Sounds like somebody ate good that night! Haha!

OP: Shit happens? (in reference to the deer shit)

Be glad you are alive and time for some mods! And nobody post the pics of that deer we've all seen coming thru the front windshield with blood all over the place where there used to be a driver!

This is a total guestimate, assuming the airbags did not ignite.

Two fenders, A/C condenser, hood ($600), front plastic, front top cross member, bumper, two headlamp assemblies ($500 each and maybe HID's and ballasts also), assorted brackets and braces, paint, all labor (disassembly, paint, assembly, overhead) ,...

$6K

Sorry for your misfortune, but also good that you're not injured.

Wow man...I've hit a deer before too but it was in my old ragedy buick park avenue about 4 or 5 years ago. I was going about 50 on a back road late at night and my high beams were on...the dear wasnt even in the road so i only slowed down a lil bit....then all of a sudden...he trys to make a run for it and BAM!!! Didnt do that much damage to the big body buick (a busted right headlight...got another one from a junkyard for about 40 bucks) but the deer was every bit of dead!

As far as your car...you'd prolly come out cheaper trying to get insurance to handle it if that is even possible...yea..your premium would go up...but hey...it is what it is. take it as a loss and go on with life. Important thing is that your ok.
