Highway MPG FTW!
93 octange. 36psi front 38psi rear. Only me in the car. Very little luggage. Some hypermileing techniques (especially in the 36mpg one). Hankook Ventus V12's. This is a pretty typical site for me. I ussualy dont snap them as often, but I have some more 34mpg runs. Usually get much more 33mpg runs (during 99% highway runs). Its also from florida, so im not coasting down a giant mountain.

in other words, its moar impressive if the distance traveled and time traveled are greater than 0.
like I said, any one can achieve 35+mpg's by reseting the MID mid flight, on a highway, going a constant speed.

Actual calculated MPG > *
The MID is very very accurate when you give it time. Still, nothing is better than calculated mileage based on miles traveled and gas consumed. A quick snapshot/sample doesn't prove much.

It also tells us these cars are the prius' of the semi luxury full sized sport sedans.
PS...I once reset when coasting to a stop on the highway and mine said MPG>99. Something in my pants moved a little...but then I realized it was BS.
if you guys want the screen to read higher remember to coast to all stops in neutral. it'll have samples of 100 mpg thrown in.
when i do that my car says i avg ~27 mpg with a ~24 mph avg. around town.

Very impressive. I usually end up with an average of 31 when I do a lot of highway driving, but I tend to keep it around 70mph. What speed do you usually drive to average 34 mpg across 1000 miles of driving?

guys getting 34/35 mpg for less than 20 miles is not worth posting....also when you get 30+ mpg over 200 miles, now you can brag....
and thanks nfnsquared....thats why i never dump my tranny into N when driving....(i used to but not anymore

I took my tl to Tennessee last summer and averaged 34 mpg with an average speed of 73 the entire trip. I only had to fill up once on the way down and that was after 400+ miles, but it only took 12.8 gallons. Typically get 26-27 while driving around town too
to continue with pictures, does anyone have any around town snaps? this is how mine is sitting currently

if you notice the time, you'll see the car has spent a lot of time idling, since the numbers don't match up very well. if i make a conscious effort to remove all that, it reads 27 mpg.

This is best case highway MPG but I could only do it for an hour. The total trip was about 150 miles and after speeding up I was still at 37 MPG but for the first hour...
